Darius Slayton Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Giants fired OC Jason Garrett. His squad ranked 31st in both total yards and points in 2020. This year's Giants currently sit 23rd in yards and 25th in points. Garrett was strapped with an uneven QB, a bad offensive line and lots of skill-position injuries -- but his offense never showed the slightest hint of creativity. Freddie Kitchens is expected to take over as interim OC, according to The New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy. Kitchens struggled as Browns HC in 2019 but did spark the offense after taking over as OC midway through the 2018 campaign. We don't expect a big rebound from the Giants the rest of the way, but Kitchens can only be an upgrade over Garrett.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Bucs. He didn't practice all week and is uncertain for Week 12 and beyond. Kadarius Toney, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton will be New York's top 3 WRs this week.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) is out for Sunday’s game against the Raiders. WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Out since Week 5, Golladay would be a risky fantasy play if he ends up active. WR John Ross (quad) is also listed as questionable, while WR Dante Pettis (shoulder) was placed on IR on Friday. Kadarius Toney and Darius Slayton are New York's top 2 healthy WRs.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. WRs Darius Slayton (hamstring) and John Ross (hamstring) are active. They figure to join Dante Pettis as New York’s top 3 WRs. Slayton has some WR3 appeal as the likely target leader.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Giants WRs Darius Slayton (hamstring) and John Ross (hamstring) are expected to play against the Panthers today, barring a setback in pregame warmups. WR Sterling Shepard, meanwhile, is a game-time decision with his hamstring injury. We'll get his status around 11:30 am ET, but Shepard will obviously come with elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he ends up active.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and John Ross are questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers with their hamstring injuries. Slayton seems to be in the best shape after putting in 3 limited practices this week. Ross was limited on Thursday and Friday. Shepard was added to the injury report on Thursday and then limited on Friday. He looks like the shakiest bet to play on Sunday. The Giants' healthy WRs right now are Dante Pettis and Collin Johnson. We'll get the team's inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard was added to Thursday's injury report as limited with a hamstring. We don't have any details right now, but mid-week downgrades are never good. WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) remained limited on Thursday, while WR John Ross (hamstring) returned to a limited practice after sitting out Wednesday. We'll update the Giants' banged-up WR corps again tomorrow.

Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. If he's able to return for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers, he'd likely be the Giants' #2 WR with Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney expected to miss.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney is "likely to miss time" with his ankle injury, according to The New York Daily News. Toney is still being evaluated, but "sources have indicated it’s more serious than a simple sprain," insider Pat Leonard writes. Fantasy owners should plan on being without Toney at least for Week 7. We'll see if the Giants get WR Kenny Golladay (knee) or WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) back for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) are active for today’s game vs. the Rams. WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) is inactive. WR John Ross figures to operate as New York’s #3 WR in place of Slayton.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Kadarius Toney (ankle) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) were limited in practice all week. Shepard was left off the final injury report, while Toney and Slayton are listed as questionable. All 3 guys are expected to play vs. the Rams on Sunday, but it looks like Shepard is healthiest. WR Kenny Golladay (knee) is out.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (concussion) will be a full participant in Friday's practice and "appears" on track to start Sunday's game vs. the Rams, HC Joe Judge said Friday morning. Jones still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play this weekend, but it sounds like that's expected to happen. Jones is a borderline QB1 for Week 6 and an upgrade over QB Mike Glennon for all of New York's skill-position players.

Giants WRs Kadarius Toney (ankle), Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) remained limited in Thursday's practice. All 3 are expected to play vs. the Rams this weekend, but we'll get another update tomorrow.

Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday. So did WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring), who said he plans on playing vs. the Rams this weekend. Slayton also seems on track to play in that one. Look for those 2 -- plus rookie Kadarius Toney -- to operate as New York's top 3 WRs.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. Last week, Kadarius Toney replaced Shepard in the slot, with John Ross taking over Slayton's field-stretcher role. Toney is a viable Week 5 fantasy play after racking up a team-high 9 targets last week.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Thursday with their hamstring injuries. Both guys are likely to miss this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys. That keeps rookie WR Kadarius Toney in play as a Week 5 fantasy starter.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Wednesday with their hamstring injuries. At this point, we should be assuming they won't play vs. the Cowboys this weekend. That'd make WR Kadarius Toney a viable Week 5 fantasy starter. The rookie turned 9 targets into a 6-78 line last week.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints with their hamstring injuries. Kenny Golladay should operate as New York's clear #1 WR. We're expecting to see Kadarius Toney replace Shepard in the slot and Collin Johnson and C.J. Board to team up to replace Slayton. RB Saquon Barkley and TE Evan Engram should also play significant roles in the Giants' passing game.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Thursday with their hamstring injuries. Both guys figure to miss this weekend's game vs. the Saints. Rookie Kadarius Toney figures to step in as New York's primary slot receiver, with Collin Johnson and C.J. Board filling in for Slayton.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton missed Wednesday's practice with their hamstring injuries. There's been no update on the severity of those injuries, but fantasy owners should be planning on them missing this weekend's game vs. the Saints. That'd leave Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Collin Johnson and C.J. Board as New York's top 4 WRs.
