ESPN's Jamison Hensley believes TE Isaiah Likely has become a "leading candidate" for the team's #3 pass-catcher role behind TE Mark Andrews and WR Rashod Bateman. It's rare for a rookie TE to be a fantasy factor. And it's rare for a team to produce 2 fantasy-relevant TEs. So Likely would be the exception to a couple of rules. But the guy has been phenomenal this preseason, catching all 12 of his targets for 144 yards and a score on 42 snaps. And Baltimore's WR depth chart is weak behind Bateman. Likely has our attention as a possible last-round flier in fantasy drafts.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely exploded for 8 catches, 100 yards and a score in Sunday's preseason game vs. the Cardinals. The Ravens sat their key offensive starters -- and so did the Cardinals defense -- but it was an impressive performance nonetheless. Likely, of course, will play behind TE Mark Andrews when the games start to count. But, considering Baltimore's thin WR corps, there's a chance Likely sees enough work to make some noise. He's at least worth a look near the end of TE-premium drafts.
Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic calls TE Isaiah Likely “the talk of camp.” Zrebiec expects the rookie 4th-round pick to see a lot of time in the slot and hold a “major part” in the 2022 offense. In other words, look for Baltimore's rate of 2-TE sets to rise. There are certainly targets up for grabs in a unit that’s thin at WR. Likely isn’t a high-end athlete and goes nearly 6’5, 245 pounds, but he emerged from Coastal Carolina with a huge career line of 133-2,050-27. Likely at least needs to be on the radar in FFPC leagues.
The Ravens selected TE Isaiah Likely out of Coastal Carolina with the 139th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft – 11 picks after adding TE Charlie Kolar. Likely jumped right in to tie for the team lead in TD catches as a true freshman. His biggest season came as a 2021 senior, when he claimed 24.3% target share and delivered a 59-912-12 receiving line. Likely ran a little slow (24th-percentile speed score for the position) but otherwise tested well. He’ll likely need further development before making an impact, but there’s long-term receiving upside.
