Justin Fields Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Steelers QB Russell Wilson will start Sunday night's game vs. the Jets. But he adds that QB Justin Fields is also likely to get snaps. "Expect both QBs to play, but Wilson is expected to play the bulk of snaps," Rapoport tweeted. We'd expect Fields' snaps to mostly come in short-yardage and goal-line situations. This is a spot to completely avoid in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson is receiving the first-team reps at practice this week, putting him in line to start Sunday night's game vs. the Jets. Justin Fields has been the QB for the first six weeks and helped Pittsburgh to a 4-2 record, but Wilson will now get his shot.

Steelers QB Justin Fields managed only 145 passing yards in Sunday's blowout win over Las Vegas. But he delivered for fantasy managers with 59 yards and 2 TDs on the ground.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) will “likely” be active as QB Justin Fields’ backup against the Raiders on Sunday, HC Mike Tomlin said. Perhaps this means Fields’ leash is a tad shorter if he struggles this weekend, but he remains a fine low-end QB1 in the plus matchup.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that QB Russell Wilson (calf) won't have any restrictions in practice this week. But Wilson will work with the second team "as to not disrupt Justin's preparation," Tomlin added. In other words, Fields will start Sunday's game vs the Raiders. He's not guaranteed anything beyond that, though, especially if the Steelers drop their third straight game.

Steelers QB Justin Fields accounted for all three offensive TDs in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Colts. He led the team with 55 yards on 10 carries and scored twice on the ground, from 5 and 2 yards out. Fields also threw for a season-high 312 yards and another score, finding TE Pat Freiermuth from 8 yards out late in the fourth quarter.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Colts. QB Justin Fields gets another start and sits 12th in the Week 4 QB Rankings.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is again listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Colts. QB Justin Fields is fully expected to start that one as Pittsburgh goes for its fourth straight win. Fields lands inside the top 12 QBs in our Week 4 Rankings.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Chargers. QB Justin Fields makes his third straight start. This game currently has a 34.5-point over/under, so don’t expect a ton of fantasy points.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. He was limited in practice all week. QB Justin Fields is fully expected to get another start. We’ll see if Wilson is available for backup duties.

Steelers QB Justin Fields appears headed to start another week. The Steelers are preparing to have Fields start against the Chargers this week to give QB Russell Wilson another week to heal his calf injury.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Broncos. QB Justin Fields makes another start and has exciting rushing upside against a bad Denver run defense.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. HC Mike Tomlin admitted Friday that Wilson's chances of starting that game are "less than questionable," per ESPN's Brooke Pryor. QB Justin Fields is in line to get another start and has exciting rushing upside against a bad Denver run defense.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin was asked about the starting QB for week 2 and said the team was preparing for QB Justin Fields to be their QB. This comes after a 156-yard passing and 57-yard rushing performance for Fields in Week 1 against the Falcons. QB Russell Wilson has not been ruled out yet and will be evaluated through the week.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is inactive for today’s opener vs. the Falcons. He was pushing to play, but the team will hold him out after he aggravated his calf injury in practice this week. QB Justin Fields gets the start for Pittsburgh and is a more exciting fantasy option than Wilson. But Fields dings the fantasy value of the Steelers’ skill-position players. See where they all sit in the Week 1 Rankings.

The Steelers are expected to decide on QB Russell Wilson's status for the opener vs. the Falcons today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Wilson "has told the team that he can play vs. the Falcons, but the team doctors are being more cautious," Schefter says. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says "it’s more likely" QB Justin Fields gets the start. We'll look for further updates on the situation and get Pittsburgh's inactives around 11:30 am ET. We continue to project Fields to be under center.

A final decision on Wilson's status hasn't yet been made, Rapoport adds. Wilson is scheduled to go through a workout on Saturday. But Rapoport notes that Wilson didn't do much in Friday's practice, while Fields took all the first-team reps.
