Justin Fields Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bears WR Chase Claypool (knee) is expected to play vs. the Lions today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Claypool has been out since Week 13. He's not a viable fantasy option, but his return is a boost for QB Justin Fields.

Bears QB Justin Fields threw for just 119 yards and a TD in Saturday's loss to the Bills. He added a surprisingly low 11 rushing yards on 7 carries. We'd bet on a rebound for Fields in a Week 17 visit to the Detroit (in the dome).

The forecast for today's Bills-Bears game calls for temperatures in the single digits, wind chill below zero and winds of 20-25 mph with gusts of 35-40 mph. Not quite as bad as what we're seeing in Cleveland -- but pretty ugly. We've adjusted our projections for this game to account for the weather.

Bears QB Justin Fields ran for 95 yards on 15 attempts in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, leading the team in both categories. That pushed him beyond 1,000 rushing yards for the season, making Fields just the 4th QB to reach that level. Fields added 152 yards and 2 TDs passing, a particularly nice fantasy performance overall against 1 of the league's toughest QB-scoring matchups. Fields will likely be worth starting despite another tough scoring matchup with the Bills next week. Then comes a more favorable spot at Detroit in Week 17.

Bears QB Justin Fields gets an Eagles defense that has allowed the league's 2nd-fewest QB points for the season and arrives as the 4th-worst scoring matchup for the position by our adjusted fantasy points allowed. But Philly has allowed the league's 12th most rushing yards to QBs despite facing the fewest QB carries for the year. That bodes well for Fields' floor. He's also off the injury report for the 1st time since hurting his shoulder in Week 11. That should help the QB's designed runs. Fields had just 1 his last time out. His previous 2 games (the 2nd of which was his injury game) found the QB getting 8 designed runs each time, according to Pro Football Focus.

Bears QB Justin Fields isn’t listed on the final Week 15 injury report. He missed Wednesday with an illness but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. Most importantly, that shoulder that he hurt back in Week 11 is no longer on the injury report. So Fields should be a full-go vs. the Eagles on Sunday.

Bears QB Justin Fields (illness) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready to rock vs. the Eagles this weekend.

Bears QB Justin Fields missed Wednesday's practice with an illness. The good news: That shoulder is no longer listed on the injury report. So, assuming he gets over that illness by Sunday, Fields should be a full-go vs. the Eagles.

Bears QB Justin Fields delivered a 55-yard TD run among 6 carries for 71 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers, his return after a game lost to a shoulder injury. Fields also completed 20 of 25 passes for 254 yards, but he also tossed a pair of INTs. Fields and the Bears get a Week 14 bye before facing the Eagles, Bills and Lions in the final 3 weeks for most fantasy football leagues.

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report after getting in full practices on Thursday and Friday. He’ll be back under center vs. the Packers this weekend. Fields carries elevated risk playing through this left shoulder injury, but we know all about the upside – especially against a Green Bay defense that just coughed up 157 rushing yards to Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

Bears QB Justin Fields put in a full practice on Thursday. Early reports had Field as a limited participant, but he was upgraded to full. He'll be in the QB1 mix if he's able to suit up against Green Bay.

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited all last week before missing the Jets game, so this doesn't really tell us much about his Week 13 status. We'll continue to monitor Fields' status over the next few days, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Packers.

11:29am EST 11/27/22

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jets. He got in 3 limited practices this week, so we’ll see if he can get cleared for Week 13. QB Trevor Siemian makes his 30th career start today. He owns a 59% completion rate and 6.6 yards-per-attempt average. Chicago figures to throw it at least a bit more with Siemian under center, but we wouldn’t consider this an upgrade for anyone on the offense.

The Bears have not yet ruled QB Justin Fields out for Sunday's game against the Jets, but multiple reports say he's not expected to play. That means it'll almost certainly be Trevor Siemian vs. Mike White in this electrifying offensive matchup. Try to look elsewhere for fantasy upside when possible.

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. “We’ll see where it goes,” HC Matt Eberflus said Friday, adding that Fields still has work to do to be medically cleared. We should get a Fields update on Sunday morning and will have Chicago’s inactives by 11:30 am ET. Fields will carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he ends up playing. If not, the Bears will turn to QB Trevor Siemian.

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We'll see what he does tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Jets.

Bears QB Justin Fields told reporters on Wednesday that he's dealing with a separated left shoulder with partially torn ligaments, per ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "Basically an AC joint" injury, Fields added. He's reportedly been cleared to practice, and considering he was allowed to speak to the media, Fields seems likely to start vs. the Jets on Sunday. The question is whether the shoulder injury will limit his rushing volume and/or efficiency.
