Noah Brown Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is "likely" to miss Sunday's game against the Browns, a source tells ESPN. The team, of course, will continue to monitor Stroud's progress through the concussion protocol before making a final decision on his Week 16 status. But fantasy owners should now assume that it'll be QB Case Keenum at the helm for Houston again this weekend. Keenum did just enough to eke out a win over the Titans last week, completing 64% of his passes at 6.4 yards per attempt with one TD and one INT. This news obviously deals a blow to all of Houston's pass-catchers.

Texans WR Noah Brown dominated targets in Sunday's win over the Titans. His 11 looks marked 30.6% of the team's total pass attempts and more than doubled his nearest teammate. WR Robert Woods tied two others with 5 targets, catching three for 30 yards. He and Woods actually trailed rookie WR Xavier Hutchinson in routes, though. Hutchinson ran a route on 87.5% of Houston dropbacks, leading Brown by one route and Woods by five. Hutchinson went catchless on 3 targets. Brown has room to stay relevant against the Browns in Week 16. But he'll likely have to compete with WR Nico Collins, who missed Sunday's game but seems to be trending toward a Week 16 return. We'll watch the whole situation as we set our Week 16 rankings. Don't expect Hutchinson or Woods to be relevant over the final two fantasy weeks outside of deep leagues.

Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Titans. He’s reportedly not dealing with a long-term injury, so we’ll see if he can make it back for Week 16. WR Noah Brown (knee) is active and joins Robert Woods, John Metchie, and Xavier Hutchinson in a WR corps that’ll be catching passes from QB Case Keenum.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. Brown has been playing through this knee issue the past couple of weeks but has failed to catch any of his seven targets. It’s fair to assume that he’s nowhere near 100%. That, plus the fact that it’ll likely be QB Davis Mills under center this weekend, leaves Brown as a shaky fantasy play.

Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. His injury reportedly isn't serious, but Collins is considered unlikely to play vs. the Titans this weekend. His absence would leave Houston with WRs Noah Brown, Robert Woods, John Metchie, and Xavier Hutchinson -- likely catching passes from QB Davis Mills.

Texans WR Nico Collins injured his calf in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Jets and is questionable to return. Houston, of course, lost WR Tank Dell for the season last week. They're now down to WRs Noah Brown, Robert Woods, John Metchie, and Xavier Hutchinson.

Update: Collins has been ruled out.

The forecast for today's Texans-Jets game calls for a near 100% chance of rain. Winds will be at 10-15 mph with potential gusts of 30+. Tough conditions for the passing and kicking games. This over/under has dropped from 38.5 to 33.0. The Texans are implied for only 18.0 points. Check out the updated projections for this game.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He went from a limited practice on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday to no practice on Friday. Brown evidently still isn’t at 100% and would be a shaky fantasy play against the Jets’ top-ranked WR defense in bad weather.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is expected to play vs. the Jets today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown was limited in Wednesday's practice and a full participant on Thursday but then sidelined on Friday. It's safe to assume he won't be at 100% for this one. Throw in the matchup against the Jets' No. 1 WR defense, and Brown is not a recommended Week 14 fantasy starter.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Jets. He went from a limited practice on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday to no practice on Friday. Brown played last week after missing Friday's practice, so we're still expecting him to be out there on Sunday. But between the knee issue and the matchup against the Jets' top-ranked WR defense, Brown is not a recommended Week 14 fantasy starter.

Texans WR Nico Collins ended Sunday with a 9-191-1 receiving line, reaching new career highs in receptions and receiving yards in Week 13 vs. the Broncos. This is the third time in 2023 that Collins has eclipsed the 100-yard mark and found the end zone in the same game. It’ll be vital for Houston’s offense that he maintains this success in the aftermath of rookie WR Tank Dell leaving the contest in the first quarter with a broken fibula. Fantasy managers were already starting Collins in lineups, but those seeking a Dell replacement should look no further than Noah Brown. While he didn’t record a catch on either of his 2 targets, Brown paced Collins with 100% route participation and snap rate in Week 13, clearly serving as the Texans' WR2. Plus, he’d recorded back-to-back 100+-yard efforts that yielded top-6 PPR finishes between Week 9-10 prior to being sidelined by a knee injury. Keep an eye out for Brown on the waiver wire.

Texans WR Tank Dell has been diagnosed with a fractured fibula and will be placed on IR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Dell will miss at least four games and is likely done for the regular season. We'll look for a more concrete timetable for his return. Dell's injury is a hit to QB C.J. Stroud's fantasy value but leaves behind a lot of opportunity for Houston's other pass catchers. Nico Collins will be the clear No. 1 the rest of the way, with WRs Noah Brown, Robert Woods, and John Metchie behind him. We'll have more on those guys in this week's waiver wire article.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Broncos. It’ll be his first action since Week 10 – and the first time Houston has Brown, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods available at the same time since Week 1. We’re betting on Brown out-snapping and out-producing Woods as the No. 3 WR. But we’d rather wait on getting Brown back in fantasy lineups.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is expected to play vs. the Broncos today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Brown got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice on Friday, so we're a bit surprised he's playing. This will be the first time since Week 1 that Brown, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods are all available. Brown actually led the Texans with a 75% route rate in that one, although it's safe to say that won't be the case today. We'd try not to use Brown in Week 13 fantasy lineups with the playing-time uncertainty in his first game off a multi-week knee injury.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. He was limited in Wednesday and Thursday’s practices but then sidelined on Friday. We’ll look for further updates on Brown, but don’t plan on using him in Week 13 fantasy lineups at this point.

Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday -- his first since going down in Week 10. We'll see if Brown is able to make it back for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He'd be tough to trust in Week 13 fantasy lineups, though, assuming Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods all play.
