Younghoe Koo Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Falcons are placing K Younghoe Koo on IR, ending his regular season. He'll be replaced by K Riley Patterson, who kicked for the Jets and Browns for a game apiece earlier this season. He's connected on 88% of his career FG tries. Kicking indoors for a Falcons team with a 25.25-point implied total, Patterson is a viable Week 16 fantasy start.

Falcons K Younghoe Koo (hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Chargers. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday. Between the hip issue and the Chargers’ second-ranked kicker defense, we’d look elsewhere for a Week 13 fantasy kicker.

Falcons K Younghoe Koo (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Chargers. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday. That should have Koo in line to play on Sunday, but he’s not a great fantasy bet against a Chargers team ranked second in adjusted fantasy points allowed to Ks.

Falcons K Younghoe Koo (back) put in a full practice on Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He’s safe to use in Week 12 fantasy lineups.

Falcons K Younghoe Koo missed Wednesday's practice with a back injury. We'll keep an eye on his status over the next few days, but fantasy players hoping to start Koo should at least start thinking about an alternative.

The Falcons have agreed to a 5-year, $24.25 million deal with K Younghoe Koo -- including $11.5 million guaranteed -- according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic. Koo has hit 64 of 68 FG attempts over the past 2 seasons and led the NFL in made FGs in 2020 despite missing a game. No word yet on who besides TE Kyle Pitts will actually help Atlanta get into FG range in 2022.
