Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Thursday that TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) will "more than likely" go on IR. That'd knock him out for the next four games, which runs into Green Bay's Week 10 bye. Musgrave can be dropped in all redraft leagues. His absence locks in TE Tucker Kraft as a full-time player -- and a fantasy TE1.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Musgrave “will be limited at best.” He’s not a fantasy option.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave will test out his injured ankle in pregame warmups before determining whether he'll play vs. the Rams today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. "But even if he can make it back, he will be limited at best," Schefter adds. The news just keeps getting better for TE Luke Musgrave, who has already been playing well ahead of Musgrave and should also find additional target opportunity today with WRs Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs out.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. He didn’t practice all week, so he’s seemingly on the wrong side of 50/50. Musgrave shouldn’t be in your Week 5 fantasy plans, but his absence would be a boost for TE Tucker Kraft.
Packers WRs Christian Watson (ankle) and Romeo Doubs (personal) are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. So Green Bay is suddenly down two of its top three WRs in terms of playing time so far this season. It’s a huge opportunity for WR Dontayvion Wicks, while WR Jayden Reed and TE Tucker Kraft should also pick up extra volume. We’re expecting WRs Bo Melton and Malik Heath to split Doubs’ snaps.
Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He’s a little over three weeks removed from spraining his MCL and likely won’t have his usual mobility today. That could be an issue against a blitz-heavy Minnesota defense. Love sits well into QB2 territory in the Week 4 Rankings. But his return is excellent news for Green Bay's WRs and TEs.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Titans with a shoulder injury. He was on this week's injury report with a shoulder, although it's unclear if this is related. We'll update Kraft's status when we know more. His absence will mean a boost in snaps for TE Luke Musgrave.
Update: Kraft returned to the game.
ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hear that Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is not expected to play vs. the Titans today. Love got in three limited practices this week, and Rapoport confirms that he has a good chance to return in Week 4. We've been projecting Willis to start against Tennessee all week, so there are no changes to our Week 3 Rankings. Expect another run-heavy game plan from Green Bay.
Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) "has a chance" to play vs. the Titans this weekend, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays this week,” a Packers source told Schefter. “It’s definitely day-by-day like he said, and 50-50 at best right now.” Love was officially limited in Wednesday's practice.
Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) is targeting a Week 5 return, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Though there is a chance he beats that goal," Rapoport adds.
The season couldn't have started much worse for Packers TE Luke Musgrave. He didn't get hurt, but he did play way behind TE Tucker Kraft. Musgrave played on just 25% of Green Bay's offensive snaps in the loss to Philadelphia. Kraft stayed on the field for 64 of 67 plays. Kraft also ran 30 pass routes to Musgrave's eight.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Packers QB Jordan Love's "initial timetable" for return is 3-6 weeks. "And there's some early optimism he could return sooner than later, pending a second opinion," Pelissero adds. Green Bay's bye isn't until Week 10, so that shouldn't factor into Love's return date. It sounds like we should plan on him missing at least the next three games vs. Indianapolis, at Tennessee, and vs. Minnesota. It's worth noting that the Packers medical staff has historically been cautious in bringing players back from injury.
Packers QB Jordan Love has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. There's no damage to Love's ACL. It's relatively good news, but Rapoport confirms that Love "should miss some time." We'll look for a timetable for his return.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft (back) is active for tonight's game vs. the Eagles. He projects to operate as the No. 2 TE behind Luke Musgrave and is only in play in one-game DFS contests.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft (back) is listed as questionable for Friday night's game vs. the Eagles. He was added to the injury report on Wednesday and limited again in Thursday's practice. It's a new injury for Kraft, who missed time earlier in the offseason with a pectoral injury. Kraft shouldn't be in your Week 1 fantasy plans, but his absence would mean more playing time for TE Luke Musgrave.
Packers insider Zach Kruse expects TE Tucker Kraft to be a "big part of the offense" this season. Kraft missed time earlier this offseason with a pectoral injury but "is starting to come on as Week 1 nears," Kruse adds.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft (pectoral) passed his physical and has been activated from the PUP list. He'd been sidelined since suffering a pectoral injury in the spring.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that TE Tucker Kraft has a pectoral injury that could keep him out until training camp, or early into training camp," according to The Packers Wire's Zach Kruse. Kraft was on the sidelines with his arm in a sling for Tuesday's OTA session. It doesn't sound like he's in any danger of missing the start of the season, barring a setback. But the second-year TE will be missing valuable practice reps.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (kidney) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. It’ll be his first action since Week 11. It’s entirely unclear how snaps and routes will be divvied between Musgrave and TE Tucker Kraft, leaving both guys as shaky fantasy plays. If picking between the two, we’d use Kraft.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (kidney) has been activated from IR, putting him in line to play vs. the Bears on Sunday. Musgrave has been out since Week 11. He was Green Bay's lead TE before going down, but it's unclear how snaps will be divvied between Musgrave and Tucker Kraft against the Bears. Neither guy is a safe fantasy play in Week 18.
