Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler confirms that Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) is "likely" out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. "Plan is still for him to return after the bye (Week 7), barring unforeseen development," Fowler adds. Jamaal Williams will get 1 more game as Detroit's lead back, in a plus matchup vs. New England's 28th-ranked RB defense.

The Patriots designated WR Tyquan Thornton (collarbone) to return from IR. The rookie broke his collarbone in mid-August and was expected to miss a couple of months. Thornton might be ready to go in the next week or 2, but we wouldn't bother adding him to redraft rosters at this point.

The Ravens signed WR Andy Isabella to the practice squad. Baltimore has 1 of the weakest depth charts in the league, so it's a fine landing spot for Isabella. But we have no faith in his ability to capitalize on the opportunity.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. HC John Harbaugh downplayed the injury earlier this week, but Bateman's availability for Sunday night's game vs. the Bengals is certainly in question. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz (knee) put in a full practice on Wednesday. It's an upgrade after he was limited all last week. Schultz should be closer to 100% for Sunday's game vs. the Rams.

Cowboys WR Noah Brown (neck) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He hurt his neck last week but is clearly on track to play vs. the Rams on Sunday.

Cardinals WR A.J. Green (knee) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he can make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles. Green isn't a fantasy option, but his return would likely push WR Rondale Moore into the slot where he belongs.

Cardinals K Matt Prater (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. He kicked through this issue last week, making 2 FGs and 2 XPs. But we'd look elsewhere for a Week 5 fantasy kicker.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown played through this issue last week, so he should be fine for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. Check back tomorrow for another Brown update.

Eagles RB Boston Scott (rib) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he's able to return for this weekend's game vs. Arizona. With Scott out last week, RB Miles Sanders set season highs with a 67% snap rate and 27 carries.

Eagles K Jake Elliott (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. That puts his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals in question. Elliott owners should be ready to replace him in Week 5 lineups.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts missed Wednesday's practice and is on the injury report with a hamstring. It's the 1st we've heard of the issue, although it's worth noting that Pitts played a season-low 62% of the offensive snaps last week. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this issue last Thursday night, but it's at least slightly concerning that he's not practicing coming off the long week. We'll see if Waddle gets back on the field tomorrow.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it out of last weekend's big game unscathed, so this might just be more of a rest day. But Penny, of course, has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (knee) remained limited on Wednesday. He put in 3 limited practices last week before missing the Packers game, so Meyers' status for Sunday's game vs. the Lions remains uncertain.

Lions WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), D.J. Chark (ankle), Josh Reynolds (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) all missed practice on Wednesday. St. Brown and Chark missed Week 4 and appear to be in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. We'll see about Reynolds and Cephus. Tom Kennedy, Kalif Raymond and Maurice Alexander are Detroit's healthy WRs right now. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder, ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday. It looks like Detroit still plans on holding him out through the Week 6 bye. Assuming Swift misses Sunday's game vs. the Patriots, RB Jamaal Williams will again be a strong fantasy play.

Bears RB David Montgomery (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. At this point, we're assuming that Montgomery will miss this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. But we'll see if he's able to get back on the practice field tomorrow.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. That seemingly puts him on track to play vs. the Texans this weekend. We'll get another update on Jones tomorrow.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. At this point, fantasy owners can't be counting on Allen in Week 5 fantasy lineups. We'll see if he gets back on the practice field tomorrow.
