Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (quad) and Kenny Gollady (rib) are expected to play vs. the Chargers today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Both guys will be trying to catch passes from QB Mike Glennon. Shepard at least has some volume-based WR3 appeal, especially with WR Kadarius Toney (oblique) still out. Golladay isn't a recommended fantasy play.

Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) won't play vs. the Cowboys today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. McKissic wasn't able to pass all the way through the concussion protocol but figures to do so by Week 15. In the meantime, RB Antonio Gibson will continue to dominate backfield work against Dallas today.

ESPN's Adam Schefter included Bengals RB Joe Mixon (illness) in his list of players "expected to play" on Sunday. Mixon missed practiced all week, but HC Zac Taylor said Friday that he expected Mixon to play. We'll see if we hear anything about Mixon's volume being scaled back vs. the 49ers. But, as of now, he should be in fantasy lineups.

Chargers WR Mike Williams has been activated from the COVID list, setting him up to play against the Giants on Sunday. Williams didn't practice all week but should operate as Los Angeles' #1 WR tomorrow with WR Keenan Allen out with COVID.

The Jets on Saturday placed WR Elijah Moore on IR for his quad injury. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 games, which makes the rookie droppable in most cases if you don't have an extra spot to stash him. Week 17 would be the earliest Moore can return. His absence boosts the target outlooks for Keelan Cole and Jamison Crowder, as well as Jets RBs.

The Rams have placed RB Darrell Henderson on the COVID list. That will knock the RB out for Monday night's game against the Cardinals, leaving Sony Michel to lead the backfield for the 2nd straight week. Michel delivered a big rushing performance against Jacksonville last week and becomes a strong fantasy play for the week.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury only said Saturday that RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) could "possibly" play vs. the Rams on Monday night. Edmonds was designated to return from IR and has practiced all week. But Kingsbury said a final decision on his Week 14 status won't be made until Monday. Edmonds still needs to be activated if he's going to play vs. the Rams, but that doesn't need to happen until Monday. With the unknown here, Edmonds should be on fantasy benches at this point.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson missed Saturday's practice with an illness. He'd been limited the previous 2 days with the thigh injury that kept him sidelined in last week's win over the Jaguars. We'll see how Henderson is listed on the final injury report later today.

2:27pm EST 12/11/21

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) has been activated from IR, setting him up to play vs. the Jaguars on Sunday. Jones has been out since Week 9 and been bothered by hamstring trouble almost all season, so he carries plenty of risk in Week 14 fantasy lineups. But he also has a chance to dominate Titans targets with WR A.J. Brown out.

Chargers WR Mike Williams is "on track" to play vs. the Giants on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Williams hasn't been activated from the COVID list yet, but it sounds like that'll happen later today.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed has joined teammate Myles Gaskin on the COVID list. We'll see if they can get cleared for Miami's next game in Week 15 vs. the Jets. The Dolphins currently have Phillip Lindsay on the active roster, Duke Johnson and Gerrid Doaks on the practice squad and Malcolm Brown on IR.

Lions EDGE Charles Harris is questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He missed practice the past 2 days with an illness. We'll check his status Sunday.

Raiders LB Denzel Perryman (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. LB Cory Littleton (shoulder) finished the week with no injury designation for the game, so he's good to go for Sunday.

Jets LB C.J. Mosley (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. He finished the week with a full Friday workout, though, and appears on track to play. DE John Franklin-Myers (hip) is also questionable, and also put in a full Friday practice.

Texans DE Jonathan Greenard is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks with a foot injury that has lingered for weeks. Greenard saw his playing time dip last week to its lowest snap share since Week 5. Then his practice participation declined. Greenard went from 3 limited workouts last week to sandwiching a missed Thursday practice between 2 limited appearances this week. Even if he's active vs. Seattle, it's clear he's dealing with a limiting injury. We'll update his status Sunday morning.

Seahawks S Quandre Diggs is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans with a calf injury. Diggs missed Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited Friday workout. He looks very iffy for the game, but we'll check his status Sunday.

Washington S Landon Collins (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. He missed last week's game with the injury but made it back for limited practices the past 2 days. We'll see about his status Sunday.

Giants QB Mike Glennon has cleared the concussion protocol and will start Sunday's game vs. the Chargers, the team announced Friday night. Glennon is a bottom-barrel QB2 against the league's 6th-ranked QB defense, but he's at least a slight upgrade from QB Jake Fromm for New York's skill-position guys.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bengals. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the first 2 workouts of the week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Friday night that Samuel has “a chance” to play on Sunday. Stay tuned to Shark Bites for further updates.

Rams WR Odell Beckham is not listed on the Week 14 injury report. It's notable after he played just 53% of the offensive snaps last week -- presumably because of the hip pointer he was playing through. Beckham should be back to a full-time role vs. the Cardinals on Monday night.
