Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds injured his right arm in the 4th quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Packers. This might be related to the shoulder injury he dealt with earlier this month. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Edmonds returned just a few plays later.

Packers TE Robert Tonyan hurt his left knee in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Cardinals. He was in obvious pain but was at least able to get off the field under his own power. We'll update Tonyan's status when we know more.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins aggravated his hamstring injury on a 55-yard catch in the 1st quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Packers. He remains on the sidelines and is officially questionable to return.

Update: Hopkins re-entered midway through the 3rd quarter.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's expected to play vs. the Bears this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update on his status.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) returned to a full practice on Thursday. It's confirmation that he'l be ready to rock for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) was again listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. “Today, I pushed it. I didn’t go half or 75%," he said afterward, before admitting that his status for Sunday night's game vs. the Vikings remains uncertain. “It’s not fully my decision because there is a bigger picture. It’s more than just one game ... I don’t want this to linger past this week.” Prescott expects the decision to be made on Saturday. Stay tuned.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler was added to Thursday's injury report with a hip and did not practice. His availability for this weekend's game against the Patriots is suddenly in question. We'll look for further updates on Ekeler's status and see if he gets back on the practice field tomorrow. If he misses Sunday's game, the Chargers would likely deploy a committee backfield with Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is active for tonight's game vs. the Packers. He carries added risk after missing practice all week and coming into this one listed as questionable. But we haven't heard anything about Hopkins being limited tonight.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield (shoulder) put in his 2nd straight limited practice on Thursday. His availability for this weekend's game vs. the Steelers remains uncertain. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Browns WR Jarvis Landry (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He said beforehand that he expects to play vs. the Steelers this weekend. But between his knee injury and Cleveland's QB situation, Landry is a shaky WR3.

Browns RB Nick Chubb (calf) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's expected back for this weekend's game vs. the Steelers, but it'd be nice to see him get in a full practice on Friday.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly puts him on track to return for Monday night's game vs. the Chiefs, but we'll get another update on Shepard tomorrow.

Steelers TE Eric Ebron was added to the injury report and limited in Thursday's practice with a hamstring. Ebron hasn't been a fantasy factor this season, but his absence is Sunday's game vs. the Browns would be a slight boost to TE Pat Freiermuth.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play vs. the Titans this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski (ribs) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. Gronk opened the season with 8-90-2 and 4-39-2 lines before getting hurt in Week 3.

Packers WRs Davante Adams and Allen Lazard were not activated from the COVID list ahead of the 4 pm ET deadline and are out for tonight's game vs. the Cardinals. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) was not activated from IR and is also out. Green Bay did activate WR Malik Taylor from the COVID list and elevated WR Juwann Winfree from the practice squad. So the Packers' WRs tonight are Randall Cobb, Equaniemous St. Brown, Amari Rodgers, Taylor and Winfree.

Giants HC Joe Judge said Thursday that RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), WR Kenny Golladay (knee) and WR Kadarius Toney (ankle) are making "good progress." All 3 guys missed Thursday's practice, but Judge expects all 3 to return in some capacity on Friday. That at least gives them a chance to play vs. the Chiefs on Monday night, but fantasy owners still can't be counting on them at this point.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Packers tonight, "barring any pre-game setbacks," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hopkins didn't practice on this short week and is listed as questionable, but we never sensed much concern about his status. He's a strong fantasy play tonight vs. a Green Bay secondary missing top CB Jaire Alexander.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that it "doesn’t look good" for Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to return for tonight's game vs. the Cardinals. Green Bay could certainly use MVS, but it sounds like that hamstring still isn't ready. The team needs to decide whether to activate Valdes-Scantling by 4 pm ET today, so we'll know his status by then.

Browns WR Jarvis Landry said Thursday that his injured knee is "feeling a lot better" and that he "for sure" will play vs. the Steelers this weekend. Landry missed Wednesday's practice but is expected to be out there on Thursday.
