Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He's led New York's Michael Carter-less backfield with 27 carries over the past 2 weeks. With Carter still out, we're expecting La'Mical Perine to join Ty Johnson and Austin Walter in a 3-man committee this weekend. It's a situation to avoid against the league's #1 RB defense.

Texans RB David Johnson (illness, thigh) has put in 2 full practices to open the week. He's on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. Johnson figures to re-form a committee with RB Rex Burkhead, leaving both guys as just desperation fantasy plays.

Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt left in the 2nd quarter of Thursday night's game against the Vikings with a groin injury. He's questionable to return.

Update: Pittsburgh has ruled him out for the game.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson (thigh) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He was limited last Friday before being active but not playing a snap in the Jaguars game. Henderson's availability and role in Monday night's game vs. the Cardinals remains uncertain. We'll look for clues over the next few days

Bears RB David Montgomery (shoulder, groin, glute) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be fine for Sunday night's game vs. the Packers, but we'll get another update on Montgomery tomorrow.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (illness) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. Players rarely miss games with non-COVID illnesses, so we're expecting Mixon to play vs. the 49ers on Sunday. But check back tomorrow for another update on his status.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be available for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (finger, knee) put in a limited practice on Thursday. He reportedly looked just fine throwing without any protection on that injured pinky, according to the media in attendance for the start of practice. Burrow is fully expected to start Sunday's game vs. the 49ers.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (groin) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking like a long shot to play vs. the Bengals this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

49ers RB Jeff Wilson (knee) graduated to a full practice on Thursday. Insider Matt Barrows confirms that Wilson is the "front runner" to operate as San Francisco's lead back vs. the Bengals this weekend. Wilson racked up 19 carries and 2 targets in a Week 11 spot start -- although he mustered just 58 scoreless yards.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee) remained sidelined on Thursday. It's unclear if it's the concussion, knee issue or both keeping him out. Either way, Mitchell looks unlikely to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. We just removed him from the Week 14 Rankings.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney (oblique) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. The New York media still doesn't seem to expect the rookie to play vs. the Chargers this weekend, but we'll get another update on his progress tomorrow.

Giants WR Kenny Golladay (rib) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We're expecting him to play vs. the Chargers this weekend, but he's not a recommended fantasy starter.

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon (hip) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's trending toward returning for this weekend's game vs. the Lions, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (hand) went from a limited practice on Wednesday to no practice on Thursday. Tim Twentyman of the team's official website tweeted that Hockenson's left hand was "wrapped pretty good." His availability for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos is suddenly in question. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a chance to play vs. the Cowboys this weekend, although he still has work to do to clear the protocol. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Jets WR Elijah Moore (quad) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. His injury isn't believed to be serious, but the rookie's Week 14 status is in question. We'll see if he practices on Friday and then how he's listed on the final injury report.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He still has multiple stages of the protocol to pass through and looks unlikely to play vs. the Saints this weekend. The Jets still figure to roll with a 3-man committee with Ty Johnson, Austin Walter and La'Mical Perine. It's a backfield to avoid vs. the Saints' top-ranked RB defense.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking like a long shot for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Packers WR Randall Cobb had core-muscle surgery last week, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports. Cobb is expected to miss "several games," per Demovsky, "putting the rest of his season in jeopardy." It sounds like Cobb is hoping to be back for the playoffs. He can be dropped in all redraft leagues.
