Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Browns TE David Njoku hauled 6 of 7 targets for 46 yards in Week 4’s loss vs. the Ravens. WR Amari Cooper struggled to connect with rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and only caught one of his 6 targets for 16 yards. This was an ugly outing without Deshaun Watson under center. The team will look to regroup and get healthier before they play again in Week 6 after their bye week.

Browns RB Jerome Ford logged 9 carries for 26 yards in Week 4’s loss vs. the Ravens. It was a disappointing outing for the second-year back, but his 5 catches for 19 receiving yards helped boost him a little in half-PPR and full-PPR formats. Teammate Pierre Strong Jr. led the team with 49 rushing yards in the contest. The Browns’ offense struggled to get much going with rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center. They’re set to go on bye and will hopefully have starting QB Deshaun Watson back in Week 6.

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson struggled in his NFL debut, completing 19 of 36 passes for 121 yards and 3 INTs vs. the Ravens. The Browns and fantasy managers will hope that normal starter Deshaun Watson is able to make it back from his right shoulder injury after their bye week in Week 5.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson didn't let a mere 139-yard passing day for his team get in the way Sunday. Jefferson posted a 6-85-2 receiving line in the win over Carolina. He drew a target on 47.4% of Kirk Cousins' pass attempts, accounting for 50% of the team's receptions, 61.2% of receiving yards, and 100% of the offensive scoring. TE T.J. Hockenson ranked second on the team with just 3 targets, catching two for 24 yards. RB Cam Akers was the only other Viking to catch more than one pass. WR K.J. Osborn finished with 1 reception for 16 yards on 2 targets. WR Jordan Addison went catchless on 1 target. Minnesota gets the Chiefs back home in Week 5 and then a high-upside matchup at Chicago in Week 6.

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins threw for just 139 yards on 12-of-19 passing in Sunday's win at Carolina. Cousins boosted his fantasy line with a pair of TDs to WR Justin Jefferson, but he also tossed 2 INTs. Minnesota got dominated in time of possession, spending just 21:31 on offense. Cousins gets potential shootout conditions back home against the Chiefs next week and then a high-upside matchup with the Bears. So you can probably brush this one off and keep using Cousins.

Commanders WR Jahan Dotson went down with an ankle injury in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Dotson returned to the game.

Chargers S Alohi Gilman (heel) is inactive for today's game against the Raiders. That leaves the Chargers down both starting safeties, plus reserve JT Woods. That should leave Raheem Layne and Dean Marlowe as the starters. Marlowe has started games for the Bills, Lions, and Falcons and would be the pickup if you need a late DB starter.

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth has been knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Texans with a hamstring injury. We'll look for an update on the severity.

Steelers QB Kenny Pickett suffered an apparent left knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Texans. He needed help getting off the field. We'll update his status when we know more. QB Mitchell Trubisky is Pittsburgh's backup.

Update: Pickett has been ruled out.

Raiders Edge Maxx Crosby (knee) is active for today's game against the Chargers. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups.

Niners LB Dre Greenlaw (ankle) is active for today's game against the Cardinals. Play him as planned in IDP lineups.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. He didn't practice all week and said Friday that the knee is a bigger issue than the ribs. There’s obvious risk with Samuel today, although we haven’t heard anything about his snaps being limited. WR Jauan Jennings (shin) is inactive.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (thumb) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He injured his thumb on Thursday but was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. It’s unclear how big an issue it’ll be today, adding some risk to Brown’s Week 4 fantasy profile.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. RBs Jordan Mason and Ty Davis-Price are active to spell workhorse RB Christian McCaffrey.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins suffered a rib injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Titans and will not return. We'll look for an update on the severity of the injury.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. He put in three limited practices this week and seems to be trending toward a return after Los Angeles’ Week 5 bye. Joshua Kelley gets another crack at lead duties today.

Bucs WR Mike Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Evans has been ruled out.

Broncos RB Javonte Williams suffered a hip injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Bears and is questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one. Williams' absence leaves Denver's backfield to Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin.

Update: Williams has been ruled out.

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk led the team in receiving in Week 4 vs. the Falcons, hauling in 8 of 12 targets for 84 yards. Teammate Calvin Ridley saw limited involvement with 2 targets, though he found the end zone on busted coverage in the first quarter. TE Evan Engram also had a solid outing, corralling 7 of 8 targets for 59 yards. The Jaguars’ offense started to show some signs of improvement in London. We’ll see if they can keep their success going stateside when they return to face the Bills in Week 5.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne recorded 20 carries for 55 yards in Sunday’s win vs. the Falcons. He also hauled all 3 of his targets for 17 yards as a receiver. This effort didn’t result in the biggest fantasy day, but the fact that Etienne again dwarfed his positional counterparts in touch opportunities should be encouraging. He’ll look to have a more productive outing in Week 5 vs. the Bills.
