Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Browns RB Nick Chubb has been activated from the COVID list, putting him on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Lions. Chubb racked up 30 carries to D'Ernest Johnson's 12 across Weeks 8 and 9. We'd expect a similar split this weekend. The matchup vs. Detroit's 30th-ranked RB defense makes Chubb a RB1 and Johnson a RB3 or flex play.

Steelers WR Chase Claypool (toe) was limited on Thursday for the 2nd straight practice. It remains unclear whether he'll be ready for return for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett (groin) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. His availability for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks is still up in the air. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. Don't expect him to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, but we'll get one more update on his status tomorrow. Hopkins and the Cardinals get a Week 12 bye.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. So he's made some progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. We'll get another update on Goedert tomorrow.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (finger) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. That makes him easier to trust in this weekend's plus matchup vs. the Jets.

Jaguars RB James Robinson (knee, heel) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be fine for this weekend's game vs. San Francisco, but check back tomorrow for another update.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (finger) remained sidelined on Thursday. HC Kyle Shanahan has been optimistic about Mitchell's chances of playing this weekend, but we'd consider him no better than 50/50 after Tuesday surgery. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. He appears to be in real danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Ravens. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (thigh) remained sidelined on Thursday. His status for this weekend's game vs. the Bears is uncertain. We'll see if he practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Patriots WR Cole Beasley (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He figures to play vs. the Colts this weekend but can't be trusted in fantasy lineups after playing just 9 snaps last week.

6:58pm EST 11/18/21

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (shoulder) is active for tonight's game vs. the Falcons. He's not a fantasy option but does put a small dent in TE Hunter Henry's profile.

Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game vs. the Patriots. It would have been surprising if he'd been able to play just 4 days after suffering what's believed to be a mild high-ankle sprain. Patterson did get in a couple of limited practices this week, so a Week 12 return seems possible. His absence tonight leaves Atlanta's backfield to Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman. We're betting on Davis leading the way in touches, but it's a murky situation (and a bad running game in general).

Lions QB Jared Goff (oblique) did not practice again on Thursday. His injury reportedly isn't serious, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Goff is in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Browns. QB Tim Boyle has been taking 1st-team reps in practice this week and would likely start over QB David Blough if Goff is out.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) did not practice on Thursday. That followed a limited practice on Wednesday. Kamara either got the day off or suffered a setback on Wednesday. We'll see if he practices on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report. Mark Ingram should be rostered in all fantasy leagues as a strong RB2 if Kamara misses this weekend's game vs. the Eagles.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) did not practice on Thursday. He seems unlikely to play vs. the Bucs on Monday night, but we'll see if he gets on the practice field tomorrow or Saturday.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) got in a limited practice on Thursday. The New York media expects him to return for Monday night's game vs. the Bucs, but we'll continue to keep an eye on his progress over the next couple of days.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) officially did not participate in Thursday's practice. Beat writers caught him out on the field catching passes before practice started, though. Brown seems to be getting close to a return, but fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting him to play vs. the Giants on Monday night.

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. That puts him on track to return for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. Gronk lasted just 6 snaps when he last tried to return back in Week 8, so he checks in as a risk/reward Week 11 fantasy play.
