Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Jaguars RB James Robinson (knee, heel) is expected to play vs. the 49ers today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Robinson is listed as questionable after getting in just 2 limited practices this week. He comes with a bit more risk than usual in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

Both ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hear that Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) is unlikely to play vs. the Seahawks today. Schefter reports that a final decision on Murray's status won't be made until pregame warmups but that "signs point" to QB Colt McCoy getting another start. Rapoport says there's a "chance" Murray is able to play -- but a "better chance" that it's McCoy. We won't get Arizona's inactives until 3 pm ET, so Murray belongs on fantasy benches unless we get a more optimistic report on his status. McCoy played well in his 1st start vs. the 49ers 2 weeks ago but bombed last week vs. the Panthers. He's a low-end QB2 and a clear downgrade for Arizona's offense.

A league source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is "50/50" for Sunday's game vs. the Bears. Jackson has been dealing with a non-COVID illness all week, missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. We'll continue to look for updates on Jackson's status and will get Baltimore's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

The Ravens have downgraded WR Marquise Brown to out for Sunday’s game against the Bears because of his thigh injury. That leaves Rashod Bateman and Sammy Watkins as the likely top 2 WRs for Lamar Jackson. Slot man Devin Duvernay is questionable with a knee injury that didn’t show up on the team injury report until Friday. The whole situation plus an illness that got Jackson downgraded to questionable today certainly adds risk to the Baltimore QB’s fantasy outlook

The Chargers will be activating EDGE Joey Bosa from the COVID list and expect him to play in Sunday night's game against the Steelers.

Texans DE Jonathan Greenard (foot) isn't traveling with the team for Sunday's game at Tennessee and has been downgraded to out.

3:10pm EST 11/20/21

Saints RB Tony Jones (ankle) has been activated from IR. He figures to serve as the #2 RB behind Mark Ingram vs. the Eagles on Sunday. Jones isn't a fantasy option; Ingram remains a solid RB2 play.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) is set to be activated from IR and return for Sunday's game vs. New Orleans, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Sanders has been out since Week 7. We'll see which of Philly's other RBs -- Jordan Howard, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell -- are active tomorrow. HC Nick Sirianni said earlier this week that Sanders remains his starter but that other guys will mix in depending on packages and game situations. Sanders is the best Week 11 fantasy bet in the Eagles backfield, but he's just a RB3 or flex vs. the Saints' top-ranked RB defense.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) will be activated from IR and play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday, NFL Network's James Palmer reports. CEH has been out since Week 5, and RB Darrel Williams has played well in his absence. So it's unclear exactly how backfield touches will be divvied vs. Dallas. Over the first 4 games of the season, Edwards-Helaire averaged 14.5 carries and 2 targets to Williams' 5.3 carries and 1.3 targets. We'd expect the split to be closer on Sunday.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has been added to the injury report as questionable with an illness. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with an illness but was a full-go on Friday and left off the original injury report. We'll look for further updates on Jackson and will get his game status around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Dolphins RB Duke Johnson has been promoted to the active roster. He'll presumably be active for tomorrow's game vs. the Jets, alongside RBs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed. We wouldn't expect Johnson to steal more than a few touches from Gaskin.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Bucs. He didn't practice all week and is uncertain for Week 12 and beyond. Kadarius Toney, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton will be New York's top 3 WRs this week.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bucs. He was limited in all 3 practices this week. All signs point to Barkley returning for this one, but it's evidently not a lock. RB Devontae Booker (hip) is also listed as questionable.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. While he was spotted on the practice field this week, he officially missed all 3 workouts. We'll see if Brown can make it back for Week 12.

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski (back) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. After putting in full practices on Thursday and Friday, he didn't practice at all on Saturday. It's unclear if that was a planned day off or a setback. HC Bruce Arians called Gronk a game-time decision, along with the rest of the Bucs' "questionable" players. It's a tough spot for fantasy owners with the Monday kickoff. We'll look for further updates on Gronkowski's status.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has been activated from the COVID list. He'll fly separate from the rest of the team to Los Angeles but is expected to start Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. Roethlisberger is just a low-end QB2 against the league's 3rd-ranked QB defense. But his return is good news for Pittsburgh's skill-position guys after QB Mason Rudolph's Week 10 flop.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett (groin) is not listed on the final injury report. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was a full-go on Friday. We’re assuming he’ll be ready for his usual role vs. the Cardinals this weekend.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. He got in 3 limited practices this week. HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday that Murray will be a game-time decision. It’s a 4:25 pm ET kickoff, but we should get an update on Murray on Sunday morning. QB Colt McCoy (pectoral) is also listed as questionable. But he got in a full practice on Friday and should be available if Murray can't go.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson is expected to have season-ending neck surgery, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's no real surprise given the progression of his season so far. It leaves Alex Collins as the primary ball-carrier. He's been dealing with a groin injury but carries no game status into the weekend. Travis Homer claimed the backfield pass-catching lead at Green Bay in Week 10 but had only totaled 3 targets over his previous 4 games.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (groin) and CB D.J. Reed (groin, knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. We'll keep an eye out for updates between now and Sunday's release of inactives.
