Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan confirmed on Wednesday that RB Trey Sermon remains behind Elijah Mitchell and Jeff Wilson on the depth chart. “Trey had an opportunity (earlier this season) when guys got hurt and I thought he got better in each game with that. But he didn’t do enough for us to put him ahead of Elijah or Jeff," Shanahan said. Sermon could get some touches this weekend if Mitchell's finger injury keeps him out, but Wilson would be the 49ers RB to use in fantasy lineups.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (toe) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He didn't seem worried about his Week 11 status when talking to reporters on Wednesday, but this has certainly become a situation to monitor. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski said Thursday that RB Nick Chubb (COVID) is "trending in the right direction." Perhaps that means Chubb has returned his 1st negative COVID test and just needs the 2nd. We're still assuming he'll be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Lions, but stay tuned to Shark Bites for updates on the situation.

Browns RB Nick Chubb remains on the COVID list. RB John Kelly was removed from the list on Thursday morning, but Chubb and RB Demetric Felton were not. Chubb still has a few days to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Lions, but he's not a lock to be available for that one. D'Ernest Johnson would be a RB1 if Chubb remains out.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson (neck) did not practice on Wednesday. “What I would say is that we didn’t make the positive progress that we had hoped," HC Pete Carroll said. "We are still working with it. I don’t have a good update, so if you don’t mind, you have to wait a couple of days and we will have more. He didn’t make the positive progress forward that we wanted, so we just have to wait.” Carson seems like a long shot to play vs. the Cardinals this weekend. And we wouldn't be surprised if Seattle chose to shut him down for the season.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a toe. "I'm definitely playing Sunday," Rodgers told reporters. "Today was a mental day so I think a number of us were either limited or DNPs. Thankful to get a day to just to do some rehab. See how the week plays out practice-wise, but definitely playing Sunday." We'll keep an eye on this, but it doesn't sound like we need to worry about Rodgers' status for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

Steelers WR Chase Claypool (toe) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's a surprise after reports suggested that Claypool was in for a multi-week absence. He now seems to have a chance to play vs. the Chargers on Sunday night. We'll get another update on his progress tomorrow.

Seahawks TE Gerald Everett (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He appeared to make it out of last week's game healthy, but we'll need to keep an eye on him over the next couple of days.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited last Friday before missing the Panthers game. HC Kliff Kingsbury has remained non-committal on Murray's status for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. We'll see if he gets out there on Thursday or Friday. But, at this point, fantasy owners can't be counting on using him in Week 11 lineups.

Chargers HC Brandon Staley said Wednesday that EDGE Joey Bosa is on the COVID list merely as a close contact and that he has so far tested negative. If that continues this week, he'll be ready to play Sunday night against the Steelers. We've added him to the Week 11 IDP rankings.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll continue to monitor his progress through the protocol, but fantasy owners can't be counting on Goedert in Week 11 lineups.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He presumably has a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on him over the next couple of days.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (finger) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to start vs. the Jets this weekend after playing well in relief of QB Jacoby Brissett Thursday night. But it'd be nice to see Tua get in a full practice or 2 this week.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield did not practice on Wednesday. He's on the injury report with "left shoulder, foot, knee." Mayfield is expected to start this weekend's game vs. the Lions, but he'll be doing so at far less than 100%.

Lions RB Jamaal Williams (thigh) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. That presumably puts him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. Williams isn't a viable fantasy option, but his return would siphon a few touches from RB D'Andre Swift.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to come out of Week 9 healthy, but it's concerning that he wasn't able to practice coming off the bye. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. RB Le'Veon Bell's release might have been a sign that Murray is ready for return for this weekend's game vs. the Bears. It's unclear what kind of role he'll have alongside RB Devonta Freeman

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any details on the injury, but it's slightly concerning with Baltimore coming off extra rest after Thursday night's loss to the Miami. Check back tomorrow for another update on Brown.

Bills WR Cole Beasley (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He wound up playing just 9 snaps last week, presumably because of this rib injury. Beasley can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him back in a full-time role.
