Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints with their hamstring injuries. Kenny Golladay should operate as New York's clear #1 WR. We're expecting to see Kadarius Toney replace Shepard in the slot and Collin Johnson and C.J. Board to team up to replace Slayton. RB Saquon Barkley and TE Evan Engram should also play significant roles in the Giants' passing game.

Titans WRs A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets with their hamstring injuries. Neither guy practiced all week, putting their Week 5 statuses in doubt. Tennessee is down to WRs Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chester Rogers, Cameron Batson, Josh Reynolds and Racey McMath.

Vikings TE Tyler Conklin (glute, elbow) isn't listed on the final Week 4 injury report. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday and then full participation Friday. Conklin should play his usual role vs. the Browns this weekend.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor sounded optimistic about RB Joe Mixon (ankle) and the rest of his injured players in Friday's press conference, according to The Athletic's Jay Morrison. Specifically, Taylor said Mixon "will have a chance" to play against the Packers next Sunday. We'll keep a close eye on him when Cincinnati gets back to work next week.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. He was limited in practice all week after sitting out all 3 workouts last week. "He looked pretty good today." HC Mike Zimmer said after Friday's practice. We're tentatively expecting Cook to play but will continue to keep an eye on his status. We'll get Minnesota's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Falcons WR Russell Gage (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. Washington. Olamide Zaccheaus stepped in as Atlanta’s #2 WR with Gage out last week, catching 3 of 6 targets for 32 yards and a TD. He’s still not much of a Week 4 fantasy option.

Washington RB Antonio Gibson (shin) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. Gibson was added to the injury report and sidelined on Thursday but returned to a limited workout on Friday. HC Ron Rivera said he's "pretty confident" that Gibson will be able to play this weekend but wants to see how he feels on Saturday. We'll get Gibson's game status by noon ET on Sunday.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard (knee) is out for Sunday night's game vs. the Patriots. Bernard leads Bucs RBs with 15 targets and has run a route on 31% of pass plays through 3 weeks. The majority of that work should go to RB Leonard Fournette this weekend. It's a sizable boost to Fournette's Week 4 fantasy value.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) will make his 2021 debut against the Falcons on Sunday, HC Ron Rivera said. Samuel made it through all 3 practices this week without issue with that groin. It's unclear how big a role he'll play after missing much of the offseason, so Samuel shouldn't be in Week 4 fantasy lineups. But he's worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Jets WR Elijah Moore (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 5. WR Corey Davis should dominate targets this weekend.

Niners HC Kyle Shanahan didn't sound so optimistic Friday morning when asked about whether TE George Kittle will be able to play through his calf injury this week. He told KNBR radio: "I hope so. It's not guaranteed. We were hoping it would heal a little more." We'll see about his status come Sunday, but make sure you have an alternate plan available.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport expects Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday. Jackson has missed the first 2 practices of the week, but it sounds like that's been mostly precautionary. "Nothing much to worry about," Rapoport said. "Nothing alarming. I would expect Lamar Jackson back at practice [Friday] ... no one I've talked to is alarmed at all." We'll see what Jackson does in practice today and how he's listed on the final injury report.

NBC Washington's JP Finlay hears that there's "little concern" about RB Antonio Gibson's status for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. Gibson sat out Thursday's practice with a shin issue but is expected back on Friday, per Finlay. We'll get another update on Gibson this afternoon, but he can stay penciled into Week 4 fantasy lineups for now.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon was knocked out late in Thursday night's game vs. the Jaguars with an ankle injury. HC Zac Taylor called it "minor" after the win. Mixon has 10 days to get ready for Cincinnati's Week 5 game vs. the Packers. We'll monitor his status next week. If Mixon misses time, it'd likely be Samaje Perine as the Bengals' lead back, with Chris Evans mixing in on passing downs.

Jaguars WR D.J. Chark suffered a left leg injury in the 1st quarter of Thursday night's game vs. the Bengals and had to be carted off the field. We'll update his status when we know more. WRs Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault will pick up more work with Chark out.

Update: Chark fractured his left ankle, according to multiple reports. He'll obviously miss the rest of the season. We'll see about his status heading into 2022.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (shoulder) would have had an "outside chance" to play Week 4 if the game were on Sunday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Higgins is sitting "with plans to get healthy for Week 5," Fowler adds. We'll keep an eye on his status when Cincinnati gets back to work next week.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice. His status for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks is uncertain. We'll learn more tomorrow.

49ers TE George Kittle (calf) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. The team hasn't expressed much concern about his status for this weekend's game vs. Seattle, but we've certainly got our eye on the situation. We'll see if Kittle practices Friday -- and then how he's listed on the final injury report.

Packers RB Aaron Jones has been limited in the first 2 practices of the week and is on the injury report with an ankle. We've heard nothing to suggest that this is a real concern for his Week 4 status, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Vikings TE Tyler Conklin (glute, elbow) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly has him on track to play vs. the Browns this weekend, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
