Tua Tagovailoa Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. Waddle has had an underwhelming season and ranks just fourth among Dolphins in targets. But he still leaves behind 5.3 targets per game. His absence means added target upside for WR Tyreek Hill, TE Jonnu Smith, and RB De'Von Achane. Rookie Malik Washington figures to slide in as Miami's No. 2 WR but is really only in play in DFS tournaments.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa threw three INTs in a Week 15 loss at Houston. Tua finished with 196 yards and 1 TD on 29 of 40 passing.

Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith went all of regulation without recording a catch. Then in overtime, the veteran caught all 3 targets for 44 yards and a game-winning score.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle caught 4 of 4 targets for 53 yards in Thursday’s loss to Green Bay. He added a two-point conversion on an impressive end zone catch.

Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith caught 9 of 11 targets for 87 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over New England. Smith now leads all TEs in fantasy points over the past two weeks.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle went off for 8 catches, 144 yards, and 1 score in a Week 12 win over New England. His 28.4 PPR points marked his highest output since Week 8 of 2022.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle finished Week 11 with 2 catches for 37 yards. He drew just an 8.3% target share on a day that saw Tua Tagovailoa throw 36 times for 288 yards.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Rams. He was added to the injury report on Friday and missed the final two practices of the week.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will start this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals, HC Mike McDaniel said Friday. Miami has totaled just 40 points without Tagovailoa over the last four games. They averaged 27.9 points per game with Tua last year and are implied for 25 points against Arizona this week. Dolphins players are back to their early-season spots in our Week 8 Rankings.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He remains on track to be cleared to return for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. Miami is implied for 25.25 points in that one -- after averaging 10 points per game without Tagovailoa over their last four.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) was officially limited in his return to practice on Wednesday. He still likely has at least one more stage of the protocol to pass through, but all indications are that he'll be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. We'll keep you updated on his status.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that they are designating QB Tua Tagovailoa to return from IR this week and plan to have him practice Wednesday. Tagovailoa still must clear the concussion protocol before playing in games, but McDaniel said they hope to have him ready to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to practice next week, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. "As long as there are no setbacks, the hope is for Tagovailoa to play in the Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals," Russini adds. Tagovailoa has not had any lingering issues from his latest concussion, and Russini intimates that he's already cleared protocol. We'll track Tagovailoa's practice participation next week, but his return would obviously be excellent news for RB De'Von Achane, WR Tyreek Hill, and WR Jaylen Waddle. We'd take a crack at trading for those guys right now.

There's a "real possibility" that Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is back for the Week 8 game against the Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's when he's first eligible to come off IR after his latest concussion. Tagovailoa is reportedly symptom-free and has no plans to retire. RB De'Von Achane, WR Tyreek Hill, and WR Jaylen Waddle need Tua back to save their seasons. There's still no guarantee that Tagovailoa makes it back (or stays on the field if he does), but it's not a bad idea to make buy-low offers for Miami's skill guys right now.
