Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs was predictably busy in Week 16, racking up 154 total yards on 27 touches. He scored his 15th total TD of the season.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor racked up 218 yards and 3 TDs on 29 carries in Sunday's win over the Titans. That included scores from 65 yards out in the second quarter and 70 yards away in the third.

Tyjae Spears beat Tony Pollard in carries, receptions, total yards, and fantasy scoring in Sunday's loss to the Colts. The biggest differentiator was Spears claiming both of the team's rushing scores, which came late in the third quarter and late in the fourth.

Giants QB Drew Lock returned to the lineup for Sunday's game against Falcons and resumed underwhelming. He threw for just 210 yards -- at 5.4 yards per pass attempt -- with 2 INTs, 3 sacks taken, and one fumble lost.

The first start for rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. on Sunday couldn't help TE Kyle Pitts. He drew just 2 targets in the win over the Giants, catching one and letting the other bounce off his hands and to a defender for Penix's only INT.

Lions WR Jameson Williams posted 5 catches for a team-high 143 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears. He added his sixth TD of the season.

Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson made 7 receptions for 62 yards among 12 targets in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. It was Robinson's most targets, receptions, and yards since Week 4. The numbers also nearly matched WR Malik Nabers, who caught seven balls for 68 yards among 14 targets.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy managed a solid fantasy score in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. But he did it almost entirely as a receiver. Tracy caught all four of his targets for 43 yards and the team's lone TD. He managed only 7 carries for 26 yards despite dominating backfield playing time. Tracy played 36 snaps to Devin Singletary's 13 and Eric Gray's 9. He ran pass routes on half of those snaps.

Bills RB James Cook scored twice in the Bills win against the Patriots. He ran 11 times for 100 yards and a score and was the team’s leading receiving catching all three of his targets for 26 yards and another TD.

Bills QB Josh Allen had a below-average fantasy day, letting down fantasy managers in the playoffs. He went 16-for-29 for 154 yards passing including a TD and INT. He only ran for 30 yards on six carries.

With QB Jameis Winston benched for Dorian Thompson-Robinson, WR Jerry Jeudy’s massive production boost dropped off. He caught two of three targets for only 20 yards. With Thompson-Robinson opting for short passes to TE David Njoku and RB Jerome Ford, Jeudy had little to work with.

Bengals WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins both found the end zone and combined for 19 targets against the Brown. Chase caught six of eight targets for 97 yards and a score while Higgins caught eight of 11 targets for 58 yards and a score.

Browns RB Jerome Ford kicked off the game with a 66-yard scamper and would find the end zone in the third quarter. Ford accounted for 42.8% of the Browns offensive yards in the game. He ran 11 times for 92 yards and the score while also catching all five of his targets for 39 yards.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow is the first player ever to throw for at least 250 yards and three touchdowns in seven consecutive games. He just cleared the mark against the Browns, completing 23-of-30 for 252 yards and three TDs.

Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks is inactive for tonight's game against the Buccaneers because of a calf injury. That leaves Dallas missing its top two LBs, with DeMarvion Overshown on IR. Nick Vigil figures to join rookie Marist Liufau in the starting lineup. Dallas will have Edge Micah Parsons, who was questionable with an illness. Use him as planned in IDP lineups.

Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier reached double-digit carries for the second straight game in Sunday's win over the Giants. His 11 attempts in Week 16 marked the first time all year that he reached double digits in consecutive games. Allgeier tallied just 22 yards on the ground, though, and caught his lone target for 9 yards.

Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (knee) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Cowboys. TEs Payne Durham, Ko Kieft, and Devin Culp are active, but none is a viable fantasy play. Otton’s absence should push more targets to Tampa Bay’s WRs and RBs.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker injured his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Vikings and was quickly deemed doubtful to return. That suggests an injury that might cost Walker more time beyond Week 16, especially with Seattle playing this Thursday night vs. the Bears. We'll update Walker's status when we know more. His absence against Chicago would make RB Zach Charbonnet a must-start.

Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. proved no better than OK in his first NFL start Sunday. He went 18-of-27 passing for 202 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT. He also took no sacks in a run-heavy, lopsided win that saw the defense score twice.

Falcons HC Raheem Morris didn't seem concerned about WR Drake London's hamstring injury after the win over the Giants. "I believe he would have went back in," Morris said. "I look forward to him being ready to practice next week." We'll look for further updates on London and track his practice participation this coming week, but fantasy owners can tentatively expect him to play against the Commanders on Sunday night.
