Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Titans CB Roger McCreary (back) is active for today's game against the Colts.

Cowboys S Jayron Kearse (knee) is inactive for the 3rd straight game. That leaves Donovan Wilson as a strong starter against a pass-leaning Washington offense that arrives as an underdog.

Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He was limited in practice all week, but it’s uncertain if he’s ready for his usual role in this one. Schultz is just a TE2 today.

Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (knee) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He’s been a full participant in practice the past 2 weeks, but it’s still unclear how big a role he’ll play in his 1st game since last January’s torn ACL. Try to leave Gallup on fantasy benches this week. WR Jalen Tolbert is a healthy scratch for Dallas.

Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) and CB Dane Jackson (neck) are active for today's game against the Ravens. DT Ed Oliver (ankle) is inactive.

11:35am EDT 10/2/22

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Eagles. That leaves WRs Jamal Agnew, Tim Jones and Kendric Pryor behind Christian Kirk and Marvin Jones. Kirk, Marvin Jones, TE Evan Engram and RB Travis Etienne could pick up extra volume with Zay Jones out.

Browns EDGE Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) is inactive for today's game against the Falcons.

11:33am EDT 10/2/22

Bears WR Velus Jones (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Giants. We’ll see how big a role the rookie plays in his debut, but he’s not a fantasy option.

Lions WR Josh Reynolds (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. Reynolds got in just limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but he figures to play a significant role today with WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and D.J. Chark and RB D’Andre Swift out.

Falcons RB Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He reportedly had to test that knee in warmups before getting the green light, so it’s safe to assume that Patterson won’t be anywhere close to 100% for this one. See where he sits in the Week 4 RB Rankings.

11:31am EDT 10/2/22

Bills TE Dawson Knox (back, hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in 3 limited practices this week and never seemed to be in danger of missing this one. Knox’s usage has been disappointing so far this season, though, and he looks like a TD-or-bust fantasy play.

11:30am EDT 10/2/22

Bills WR Gabe Davis (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He played 96% of Buffalo’s offensive snaps last week but reportedly tweaked that ankle again in practice this week. Consider Davis a risk/reward WR3 in Week 4 fantasy lineups.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that the Panthers are "optimistic" about RB Christian McCaffrey's availability for today's game vs. the Cardinals but that he'll need to test that injured quad in pre-game warmups before a final decision is made. "One key in that test will be going full speed, which he didn’t do much of in practices," Fowler adds. Cardinals-Panthers kicks off at 4:05 pm ET, so we won't get Carolina's inactives until a little after 2:30.

Bears K Cairo Santos will miss today's game vs. the Giants due to a personal issue. Michael Badgley will kick in his place. Hopefully you're not invested in this situation.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is active for today's game vs. the Vikings. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but it's unclear how close to 100% he'll be today. New Orleans needs him, though, with WR Michael Thomas out.

Vikings EDGE Za'Darius Smith (knee) is active for today's game against the Saints.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is officially inactive for today's game vs. the Vikings. It's a surprise after he played through this issue last week. Insider Nick Underhill says that Kamara is "looking to get healthy for the long haul." When Kamara missed Week 2, Ingram handled 10 of 16 RB carries and saw 2 targets. He wasn't at 100% for that game, though, and could see a bit more work today. RB Tony Jones is a healthy scratch today, so it's Ingram, Dwayne Washington and Latavius Murray, just called up from the practice squad, in New Orleans' backfield. See where Ingram sits in the Week 4 RB Rankings.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is "eyeing" next week's game against the Rams for a "possible" return from his thumb injury. We'll certainly be tracking the QB's status throughout the week. The combo of surgery on his throwing thumb and a good defense on the other side of that matchup would have us wary of playing Prescott in fantasy football lineups right away.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson is expected to be activated from the non-football injury list and return to practice this coming week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's still uncertain if Robinson will play against the Titans in Week 5, Rapoport adds, but it's clear that the rookie continues to make excellent progress in his return from a pair of gunshot wounds to his lower half. We'll continue to track Robinson's status, but he's worth adding now if he's available in your fantasy league.

Saints HC Dennis Allen said Sunday morning that WR Jarvis Landry will play today against the Vikings, according to Stacey Dales of NFL Network. Landry is officially questionable with an ankle issue but should be good to go as 1 of New Orleans' top 2 wideouts. (Michael Thomas is out.)
