Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cardinals RB James Conner (knee, shin) didn't practice again on Thursday. Friday's injury report will give us a better idea as to whether or not the veteran will be able to go against the 49ers in Week 18. We'll keep an eye on this one.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that he expects RB Elijah Mitchell (knee) to play vs. the Cardinals this weekend. He's been out since spraining an MCL in Week 12 but returned to practice this week. Mitchell should step back in as San Francisco's #2 RB this postseason, but it's possible he's limited in his first game back.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (ankle, knee) logged limited practice on Thursday according to the official team website. Various reports indicate that Samuel logged full participation, so we're a bit hazy on the veteran's availability for Week 18 vs. the Cardinals. It's certainly looking likely that Samuel's return to NFL action is on the horizon though. We'll circle back on this tomorrow.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (knee, ankle) didn't practice again on Thursday. The affectionately nicknamed CMC has played through injury for much of this season, but it's still worth noting his lack of activity. Check back again tomorrow for updates regarding his status for Week 18 vs. the Cardinals.
Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday for the 2nd day in a row. Friday's report will give us a better idea about Jeudy's chances for suiting up in Week 18 vs. the Chargers. Check back again tomorrow for further analysis.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert (left shoulder) practiced fully again on Thursday. This injury to Herbert's non-throwing shoulder seems unlikely to prevent him from playing in Week 18 vs. the Broncos. We'll check in on Herbert again tomorrow just in case.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (thigh) practiced in full for the 2nd straight day on Thursday. It looks likely that Pollard will be able to play in Week 18 vs. the Commanders. We'll monitor his situation in case something changes tomorrow.
Commanders RB Brian Robinson (knee) didn't practice on Thursday. It's not looking good for the rookie at this point, but Friday will give him a chance to participate in a limited fashion perhaps. RB Antonio Gibson was placed on IR already, and the team elevated RB Jaret Patterson from the practice squad in a corresponding move. This messy situation doesn't bode well for any fantasy manager trying to decipher this situation for Week 18 vs. the Cowboys. Check in tomorrow once we have a more concrete idea of what to expect from the Commanders' backfield.
Eagles RB Miles Sanders (knee) practiced in a limited capacity again on Thursday. We'll see if the veteran is able to log a full practice tomorrow. Stay tuned for news regarding Sanders' status for Week 18 vs. the Giants.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) was limited in practice again on Thursday. It's still unclear at this point if he'll be named the starter for Week 18 vs. the Giants. Friday's injury report will give us a better idea of what to expect. We'll let you know how this shakes out tomorrow.
Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (hip) practiced fully on Thursday. The veteran wideout was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's estimation, so this is great news for his availability for Week 18 vs. the Browns. We'll keep an eye out in case something changes on tomorrow's report.
Saints TEs Taysom Hill (back) and Juwan Johnson (quadriceps) both practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday. Johnson didn't practice at all on Wednesday, so this is a step in the right direction for him. Hill has now been limited on back-to-back days. Be sure to check back tomorrow for additional information regarding their availability for Week 18 vs. the Panthers.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) was a limited practice participant on Thursday. This marks the 2nd straight day of limited participation for Waddle ahead of Week 18 vs. the Jets. Friday's injury report should help give us a better idea regarding his availability for Sunday's game. We'll be sure to keep an eye on this one.
Dolphins QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee, right finger) practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday. This is certainly an encouraging sign ahead of Week 18 vs. the Jets. There's still a cloud of uncertainty hanging over this matchup though. Fantasy managers should be prepared for the possibility that rookie QB Skylar Thompson gets the nod if Bridgewater trends downward tomorrow. We'll have more clarity by tomorrow. Check back in then.
Jets QB Mike White (ribs) practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday. We'll keep an eye on his status on tomorrow's injury report ahead of Week 18 vs. the Dolphins. Stay tuned for further updates.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) didn't practice on Thursday. As ESPN's Adam Schefter pointed out on Twitter, it's now officially been over one month since the former MVP practiced for played in an NFL game. It's safe to say Jackson's fantasy season is over. Expect QB Tyler Huntley to be under center in Week 18 vs. the Bengals. The Ravens still have a playoff run ahead of them, so perhaps we'll see Jackson under center at some point soon. This'll be a fascinating storyline to track as Jackson potentially heads toward free agency this offseason.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (hip) practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday ahead of Week 18 vs. the Patriots. We'll have a better picture of his health on Friday. Be sure to check back tomorrow for updates.
Bills QB Josh Allen (ankle, elbow) was downgraded to a limited practice on Thursday after logging full participation the day before. There's no need for alarm at this time as it relates to his availability for Week 18 vs. the Patriots. Allen has been beaten up all season and has yet to miss a game. We'll keep an eye on him in case anything changes on this front.
Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity again on Thursday. It's also worth noting that WR DeVante Parker (concussion) has now practiced limited on back-to-back days. This is certainly encouraging for Parker as he's been sidelined since Week 14. Friday's injury report will give us official designations for the pair of pass-catchers ahead of Week 18 vs. the Bills. Check back tomorrow for further analysis.
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) logged limited practice again on Thursday and is listed as questionable for Week 18 vs. the Titans. The second-year QB has yet to miss a game due to this lingering issue. We feel good about his ability to suit up for Saturday's contest. The winner of this game secures the AFC South crown, so the stakes are high enough that all the starters will play significant snaps. The Titans rank as the 5th-best matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs this season. Additionally, Lawrence tossed nearly 400 yards and 3 TDs against the Titans back in Week 14. We know he's capable of lighting up the scoreboard in this spot. Fantasy managers should feel great running Lawrence out there as a high-end QB1 in lineups.
