Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN's Mike Triplett reports that Saints QB Taysom Hill will start Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys. Hill had been battling a foot injury but was a full-go in practice all week. We'll see if he has RB Alvin Kamara, OT Terron Armstead and OT Ryan Ramczyk, who are all listed as questionable with knee injuries.

The Seahawks are signing RB Adrian Peterson to their practice squad. Here we go again. Peterson was completely ineffective in 3 games for the Titans earlier this season, averaging 3.0 yards per carry. Now he joins a Seattle running game that's been close to useless all season. We'll see if Peterson gets promoted to the active roster, but we wouldn't bother adding him in fantasy outside of the deepest of leagues.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Cowboys. He was limited in practice all week. Kamara seems more likely than not to return for this one, but you'll need to check back around 7 pm ET on Thursday to see if he's active. Kamara will come with more risk than usual in fantasy lineups if he does suit up. RB Mark Ingram (knee) isn't listed on the final injury report and will be available tomorrow night.

Cowboys WR Amari Cooper (COVID) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Saints. He was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday, his 1st official practice since coming off the COVID list. ESPN's Ed Werder reported this morning that Cooper is expected to play tomorrow night, but we'll find out for sure around 7 pm ET. WR Cedrick Wilson (ankle) is out for Week 13. That leaves Noah Brown and Malik Turner as Dallas' depth WRs behind CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup and (potentially) Amari Cooper.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) is not listed on the final injury report for Thursday night's game vs. the Saints. He was listed as a full participant in practice all 3 days. We're expecting Elliott to cede more work than usual to RB Tony Pollard -- like he did on Thanksgiving -- making both guys RB2s. We still prefer Zeke over Pollard if you're choosing between the 2.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report. He'll play vs. the Saints on Thursday night and should be back in fantasy lineups as a WR1.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough. The fact that he was out there at all bodes well for his chances of playing vs. the Jets this weekend. RB Jordan Howard (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday, so he's trending toward missing Sunday's game.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He's a long shot to play vs. Washington this weekend. Waller's absence would turn TE Foster Moreau into a viable Week 13 spot starter.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (quad) and Kadarius Toney (quad, oblique) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Toney is now listed with both the old quad injury and a new oblique injury. We'll see if these guys can get on the practice field tomorrow. But, at this point, fantasy owners shouldn't be planning on having them in Week 13 lineups.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) is expected to miss "at least" the next 2 games vs. the Falcons and Bills. Schefter doesn't mention a setback for Brown, but it sure seems like he suffered one. Regardless, Week 15 is the earliest fantasy owners might get Brown back. He's still worth stashing on benches as a potential difference-maker in the fantasy playoffs.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He said he's preparing to start this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins but conceded that the medical staff has the final say. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that QB Mike Glennon is expected to draw the start against Miami. We'll see where this goes, but you should be avoiding the situation in 1-QB leagues.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (ankle) participated in Wednesday's walkthrough and told reporters that he'll play vs. the Jets this weekend. He probably still needs to get the green light from the team docs. But if Hurts does play, the question then becomes how much the ankle injury impacts his rushing production. He'll at least bring more passing upside than usual vs. a Jets squad sitting 31st in Football Outsiders' pass defense rankings.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. HC Bruce Arians said afterward that Brown "probably" won't play vs. the Falcons this weekend. It's disappointing news after Arians said last week that he was "hopeful" to get Brown back for this one. Brown should stay stashed on fantasy benches as we continue to monitor his rehab. His absence is good news for Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (ankle) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) put in limited practices on Wednesday. HC Kliff Kingsbury confirmed that both guys are on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Bears, barring a setback over the next few days. We'll keep an eye on them, but Murray and Hopkins can be penciled into Week 13 fantasy lineups for now.

Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) is expected back for Week 14 vs. the Rams. Edmonds has been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 9. James Conner gets 1 more game as feature back vs. the Bears this weekend.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was designated to return from IR and practiced on Wednesday. He's been out since going down in Week 8. Parker is eligible to play vs. the Giants on Sunday, but it's still unclear if he'll be ready. We'll keep an eye on him over the next few days.

Cowboys WR Amari Cooper is expected to play against the Saints on Thursday night, ESPN's Ed Werder reports. Cooper landed on the COVID list 12 days ago but still wasn't feeling 100% as of Tuesday, HC Mike McCarthy said. It's possible that Cooper's snaps are limited vs. New Orleans or just that lingering effects from COVID impact his production. Consider him a risk/reward WR2 play for Week 13.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift could miss "multiple weeks" with the sprained AC joint in his shoulder, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. "Lions will be cautious with their top back," Fowler adds. That makes sense considering the 0-10-1 Lions are looking ahead to 2022. Swift should be stashed on benches in all fantasy leagues, but Jamaal Williams will be a volume-based RB2 for however long Swift is out.

Jets WR Corey Davis (groin) will not practice on Wednesday, HC Robert Saleh said. Davis hurt his groin last Wednesday and missed the Texans game. He looks iffy for this Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. The Jets will definitely be without WR Keelan Cole, who landed on the COVID list on Tuesday.

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth is in the concussion protocol, HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday. So the rookie's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens is now in doubt. With TE Eric Ebron on IR with his knee injury, Pittsburgh might be down to TE Zach Gentry, who owns just 8 career catches.
