Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Browns WR Amari Cooper has cleared the concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the Jaguars. WR Elijah Moore dominated targets (12) in last week's loss to the Rams, which Cooper left early. Cooper drew 5 targets on just 32% snap share. We'd bet on him returning to the lead among Cleveland WRs this week. Check our Week 14 WR rankings for updated projections on both guys.

Saints insider Nick Underhill confirms that WR Rashid Shaheed (groin) will not play vs. the Panthers on Sunday. Shaheed's quad injury is "more serious than initially believed," Underhill adds. "Initially thought to be a contusion, a second opinion showed it is more serious." It sounds like there's a good chance that Shaheed misses more time beyond Week 14. He's droppable in most redraft fantasy leagues.

Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell doesn't expect there to be any restrictions on WR Justin Jefferson in his first game back from his hamstring injury. "I don’t see any restrictions as far as his ability to go out there and function and play," O'Connell said, adding that he's "expecting to have Justin out there a lot on Sunday.” That doesn't necessarily mean that Jefferson will play a full slate of snaps vs. the Raiders. But, at minimum, we expect him to be out there for the vast majority of pass plays. You'd need to be absolutely loaded at WR to consider keeping Jefferson out of your Week 14 fantasy lineup.

Lions LB Alex Anzalone put in a full week of practice and doesn't appear on the final injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears. That means he's ready to return after missing Week 13 with a hand injury. Anzalone's return should decrease the playing time for rookie LB Jack Campbell, who got a boost with Anzalone out. Campbell did notch 9 tackles (5 solo) on just 61% playing time in the Week 11 meeting with the Bears but shouldn't be central to your Week 14 IDP plans. Check our Week 14 LB rankings to see where both Lions LBs land.

Panthers S Vonn Bell (shoulder) is off the final injury report for Sunday's game against the Saints. That means he's ready to return after missing Week 13 and leaving the previous game early. Bell has managed just two full games among his past seven thanks to a pair of injuries. You can find him at the bottom of DB3 territory in our Week 14 rankings, though.

Broncos RB Samaje Perine (knee) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Chargers. He was a full-go on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice on Friday. Hopefully Perine wasn’t in your Week 14 fantasy plans. But his absence would be a boost to RB Javonte Williams’ target projection. Perine has averaged 3.3 targets per game this season.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. He's not on the fantasy radar, but his absence can't hurt RB Christian McCaffrey's already massive volume projection.

Bengals WR Tyler Boyd (ankle) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Colts. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and limited again in Friday’s practice. HC Zay Taylor said Friday that he expects Boyd to play this weekend. But he was a weak fantasy bet even before the ankle trouble.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He practiced all week, including full practices on Thursday and Friday. It doesn’t look like the AC joint sprain he suffered last weekend will be a problem in Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) are listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. They both put in full practices on Friday. "Both of those guys looked pretty good," HC Pete Carroll said afterward. "They looked pretty good. We've got to see what happens tomorrow, see how they feel and all that, but both guys worked today." We're tentatively expecting both Walker and Charbonnet to play on Sunday. In that case, Walker would likely return to his role as primary early-down back, with Charbonnet replacing him for the majority of passing downs.

Seahawks LB Jordyn Brooks (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers. Brooks managed just a single limited practice this week (Friday). HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Brooks will be a game-time decision. We'll check his status Sunday.

Raiders Edge Maxx Crosby (knee) is officially questionable for the second straight week. He told NFL Network Friday, however, that he feels "incredible" and will play Sunday against the Vikings. We're not buying his assessment of the knee. But Crosby played through a doubtful tag after no practice in Week 13. This time around, he managed a limited Friday practice. Crosby played his smallest snap share of the season last time out, but that was still 82%. We'd go ahead and play Crosby in most cases. See where he sits in our Week 14 DL rankings.

Saints Edge Cameron Jordan (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. He appears to be in better shape than last week, though, when Jordan played through a questionable tag. Then, he missed all three days of practice before playing limited snaps (29%) in a loss to the Lions. Jordan managed limited practices Thursday and Friday this week, so we'd expect him to be more involved Sunday. There's still risk, though, especially for a player with just 2 sacks all season. You can find Jordan in DL3 territory of our Week 14 rankings. There's upside to the matchup, though, if you're looking for an option down there.

The Chiefs are expected to activate LB Nick Bolton (wrist) from IR ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills, according to ChiefsDigest.com. Bolton put in three full practices this week but will need to be activated before 4 p.m. ET Saturday to be eligible to play. If he's back, we'd use him in most IDP cases. You'll find Bolton near LB1 territory in our Week 14 LB rankings. Kansas City has ruled LB Drue Tranquill (concussion) out for the game. But that won't really matter if Bolton's back. Tranquill has been filling in for Bolton but plays a minimal role when Bolton's available.

Per Saints beat reporter Nick Underhill, QB Derek Carr (concussion, rib, right shoulder) has passed NFL concussion protocol and will be the starter in Week 14 vs. the Panthers. Fantasy managers who had planned on using backup QB Jameis Winston in lineups this weekend will need to prepare a pivot move. As for Carr, he's still dealing with a shoulder issue and should be viewed with tempered expectations. The good news is that the Panthers rank 20th in pass-defense DVOA this season and provide a good enough matchup for Carr to net decent QB2 value.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He injured his groin on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll was non-committal on Smith’s availability, saying they’ll take the decision up to game time. QB Drew Lock will get the start against San Francisco if Smith is out. That’d be a significant downgrade for the offense.

The Falcons have ruled LB Nate Landman (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Andre Smith looks like the next guy up, but we wouldn't go looking for a down-the-roster Atlanta LB in any format at this point in the fantasy season. Atlanta also ruled out DT David Onyemata (ankle). Onyemata and Landman hold the two best Pro Football Focus run-defense grades among Falcons front-seven players this season. So their absences can only help the matchup for Bucs RB Rachaad White. CB A.J. Terrell (concussion) and CB Jeff Okudah (ankle) are questionable for the game.

The Buccaneers have ruled LB Devin White (foot) out for the second straight game. That should mean a start for rookie LB SirVocea Dennis, who's off the final injury report after missing last week with an illness. LB LaVonte David is also ready to return after missing the past two games with a groin injury. Check our Week 14 LB rankings to see where each guy lands. David's week of full practices and his upside matchup has moved him way up vs. the start of the week. Tampa Bay has also ruled out CB Jamel Dean (ankle, foot). DT Vita Vea (toe) is questionable after missing all three practice days. His status shouldn't impact many IDP lineups, but his absence would improve the matchup for Falcons RBs.

Chargers WR Josh Palmer (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. He returned to practice this week but isn’t quite ready for game action. We’ll see if Palmer can make it back for Thursday night’s game vs. the Raiders. Quentin Johnston and Jalen Guyton will again serve as Los Angeles’ No. 2 and 3 WRs this weekend.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness) is not listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He missed Thursday’s practice but was a full-go on Friday. Consider Jackson’s fantasy outlook for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams unaffected.
