Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Commanders WR Terry McLaurin racked up 102 yards and a TD on 5 receptions in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. Most of that came on a single play late in the fourth quarter, though. McLaurin caught a pass with 33 seconds left and took it to the end zone from 86 yards out. That means his other 4 catches totaled just 16 yards.
Commanders WR Noah Brown drew a team-high 10 targets in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. He caught six for 71 yards, setting personal season highs in all three categories.
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels was on his way to a poor fantasy outing through most of Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, but turned it around in the fourth quarter. He wound up with 275 yards and 2 TDs passing, plus 74 yards and another TD on the ground.
Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. led the team with 6 receptions and 96 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. That accounted for 54.5% of QB Anthony Richardson's completions and 55.8% of his passing yardage for the game. It also marked just the second time all season that Pittman has exceeded 63 yards in a game this season.
The Cardinals offense was a fantasy disappointment for most of Sunday, but TE Trey McBride caught 12 of 15 targets for 133 yards. With one of the best fantasy schedules remaining for a TE, he is locked in as a top option the rest of the way.
Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his four game streak of 60+ receiving yards posting six catches on seven targets for 77 yards and a TD. He now has at double digit PPR fantasy points in each of the last four games and 19+ in three straight games. With D.K. Metcalf only ending up with four receptions for 59 yards, JSN’s sophomore breakout continues.
Harrison Jr. had another disappointing game with the whole Cardinals team taking a nosedive against the Seahawks. He only caught three of his six targets for 47 yards.
Cardinals QB Kyler Murray completed 24 of 37 passes for 285 yards and no TDs. He threw an interception as well. With only two rushes for nine yards, it was an incredibly disappointing day for the entire Cardinals offense, but Murray laying an egg makes him a volatile play moving forward.
Raiders QB Gardner Minshew will miss the rest of the season after breaking his collarbone in Sunday's loss to the Broncos, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. HC Antonio Pierce said afterward that QB Aidan O'Connell might be ready to return from his broken thumb for Friday's game vs. the Chiefs. If not, Vegas would start QB Desmond Ridder, who went 5-for-10 for 64 yards with a lost fumble in relief of Minshew vs. Denver. We'll keep you updated on the situation, but this remains a spot to avoid in fantasy lineups.
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ran just 11 times for 35 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He got only 1 carry in the second half, despite Indy being within 8 points at the start of the third quarter. Taylor also went without a reception for the first time since Week 1.
Raiders QB Gardner Minshew suffered an apparent left shoulder injury late in Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He was replaced by QB Desmond Ridder. QB Aidan O'Connell is expected back from his broken thumb within the next week or two. We'll see who's under center for Vegas against the Chiefs on Friday afternoon, but you won't want that guy in your fantasy lineup.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson ran for a career-high 61 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He added just 172 yards on 11-of-28 (39.3%) passing, with 0 TDs but also no turnovers or sacks.
Packers WR Romeo Doubs sustained a concussion in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. It's his second documented concussion, with the first coming while at Nevada back in 2019. Doubs is unlikely to be cleared for Thursday night's game vs. Miami, which would mean a spike in snaps for WR Dontayvion Wicks.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson mustered only 13 yards on 8 carries in Week 12. He failed to catch either of his two targets in a blowout loss to Miami.
Lions TE Sam LaPorta didn't reach 6 targets in any of the Lions' first six games this season. He has now down so in three of his past four, surrounding an inactive Week 11. LaPorta's 6 targets in Sunday's win over the Colts trailed co-leaders Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams (7 apiece) but beat No. 4, WR Tim Patrick, by two.
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs tallied 90 yards and 2 TDs on 21 carries in Sunday's easy win over the Colts. Gibbs benefited late from RB David Montgomery's third-quarter departure for a shoulder injury. He tallied 48 yards and a TD on 9 carries after Montgomery's last touch for the day.
Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins caught 5 of 6 targets for 35 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over Carolina. The score marked his third as a Chief.
Lions QB Jared Goff went a solid 26 of 36 passing (72.2%) for 269 yards (7.47 yards per attempt) in Sunday's win over the Colts. But all three of Detroit's TDs went to RBs, on the ground.
Lions RB David Montgomery (shoulder) said after Sunday's win over the Colts that he expects to play vs. the Bears on Thanksgiving. Montgomery never returned after injuring his shoulder midway through the third quarter, but Detroit had a comfortable lead and Montgomery remained on the sidelines with his helmet. We'll keep tabs on his status over the next few days, but fantasy owners can tentatively expect to have Montgomery available in Week 13.
Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks played only 9% of the snaps in Sunday’s close loss to Kansas City. He handled 2 carries for 7 yards.
