Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Ravens WR Demarcus Robinson (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars. He was added to the injury report and sidelined on Thursday – but returned to a full practice on Friday. So Robinson should be able to play on Sunday, but check Shark Bites around 11:30 am ET to make sure he’s active.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (hip) is not listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He was sidelined on Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. Jackson said Friday that the hip issue is “getting better.” We’re not expecting it to be a significant issue in this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars.

Ravens RB Gus Edwards (hamstring, knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars. He got in full practices on Thursday and Friday, and HC John Harbaugh said Friday that he’s "optimistic" Edwards will play. Assuming he does, he’ll be a risk/reward RB3 in fantasy lineups. We’d expect Edwards to lead RBs Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill in carries.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. He remained sidelined all week and has no timetable for return. Julio Jones will continue to operate as Tampa’s #3 WR behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Bucs RB Leonard Fournette (hip) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. He got in 3 limited practices this week but evidently isn't fit to play. Assuming Fournette sits, rookie Rachaad White will step in as Tampa's clear lead back against a struggling Cleveland run defense. White will be backed up by RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn and potentially RB Gio Bernard, who was designated to return from IR earlier this week.

Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) is expected to be activated from IR and play vs. the Chargers on Sunday, HC Kliff Kingsbury said. Brown has been practicing for a couple of weeks now after going down back in Week 6. He carries elevated risk in his 1st game back but certainly has enough upside to make sense in plenty of fantasy lineups. Brown averaged 10.7 targets, 7.2 catches, 81 yards and .5 TDs over the first 6 games of the season -- although none of those came with WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Jets WR Corey Davis (knee) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears. Davis should step back as a starting outside WR opposite Garrett Wilson, with Elijah Moore in the slot.

Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. “We’ll see where it goes,” HC Matt Eberflus said Friday, adding that Fields still has work to do to be medically cleared. We should get a Fields update on Sunday morning and will have Chicago’s inactives by 11:30 am ET. Fields will carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he ends up playing. If not, the Bears will turn to QB Trevor Siemian.

Panthers WR Terrace Marshall (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, so he should play. But Marshall would be a shaky fantasy start against the league’s 4th-ranked WR defense.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (hip) got in 3 limited practices this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. HC Zac Taylor said the final decision on whether Chase returns for this one will come on Sunday. We’ll look for reports on Chase’s status that morning and will get Cincinnati’s inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 13. His absence leaves Samaje Perine as Cincinnati's lead back, although the matchup against Tennessee's 5th-ranked RB defense makes him as more of a low-end RB2 in fantasy lineups. Chris Evans is set to return from his knee injury and should operate as the #2 RB on Sunday.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said Friday that RB Darrell Henderson won't be ready to play this weekend vs. the Ravens. Henderson was just claimed by Jacksonville on Wednesday. He could eventually win the #2 RB job, but it'll be JaMycal Hasty in that spot behind Travis Etienne for at least 1 more game.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers injured his right shoulder on the team's 1st offensive play in Thursday night's game vs. the Vikings. He got an x-ray in the locker room but returned to play limited snaps in the 2nd half. “Sore,” Meyers said of the shoulder afterward. “I’ll be alright though... It started to feel better as the game went on.” It sounds like Meyers will be able to play through this issue, but we'll keep an eye on him when the Patriots get back to work next week.

Buccaneers RB Rachaad White got his 1st career start and wound up with season-high playing time in the last game. And the 2nd part wasn't just about Leonard Fournette leaving early with a hip issue. “I think it was excellent to see him go out there and play an extended amount of snaps,” OC Byron Leftwich said Thursday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “I don’t know if he was ready for that many earlier. We saw the gifts that he had early but … we’re here with him every day, so we knew we had to get him to the point he could handle that type of load. He’s there now." White's playing time and touch count (22 carries vs. Seattle) probably won't be quite so high with Fournette back -- he has put in limited practices this week -- but expect enough of a role to put White in flex contention for many fantasy football teams.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson amassed 139 yards and a TD on 9 catches in Thursday night's win over the Patriots. WR Adam Thielen trailed him by just 1 target and matched Jefferson's 9 catches, tallying 61 yards and a TD. TE T.J. Hockenson snagged the other of Kirk Cousins' 3 scoring tosses, totaling a 5-43-1 receiving line among 6 targets. The Minnesota passing game gets a tougher draw against the Jets in Week 13.

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins had his most efficient game of the year, completing 81% of his passes for 299 yards and 3 TDs in Thursday night's win over the Patriots. It was his 1st game this season with 3 TD throws and 2nd highest yardage output. Cousins found WR Justin Jefferson, WR Adam Thielen and TE T.J. Hockenson for TDs in a game where RB Dalvin Cook struggled to find running room (42 yards on 22 carries). Next comes a tougher passing matchup with the Jets but then better spots at Detroit and home for Indianapolis.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook racked up 22 carries in Thursday night's win over the Patriots but managed only 42 yards (1.9 per rush). He added 4 catches among 5 targets but turned those into just 14 yards. It was Cook's 3rd-lowest total yardage of the year despite a season-high in opportunities. New England hit Week 12 as the league's toughest scoring matchup for RBs, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. The remaining schedule looks fairly neutral for him on that front, which obviously marks an improvement over the Patriots matchup.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers hurt his right shoulder on the 1st play of Thursday night's loss to the Vikings. He missed the rest of the 1st half getting it evaluated but was able to return in the 2nd for limited playing time. Meyers wound up playing just 16 snaps for the game but caught 3 balls for 62 yards among 4 targets. Meyers said after the game that his shoulder was sore but felt better as the game wore on and would be "alright" going forward, according to Masslive.com's Chris Mason. Next up is a home date with Buffalo next Thursday night.

Patriots QB Mac Jones racked up 382 yards on 28-of-39 passing in Thursday night's loss to the Vikings. He found WR Nelson Agholor and TE Hunter Henry for TDs. Jones nearly added a 3rd in the 3rd quarter, but Henry lost control of the ball as he went to the ground. Jones targeted RB Rhamondre Stevenson (10) and WR Nelson Agholor (8) most often. Agholor set a season high in targets and matched his top mark of the year in receptions. Jones beat his career high in yards by 61, hitting 300 for the 2nd time this season. He gets the 6th-best remaining schedule for QB scoring by our adjusted fantasy points allowed -- tops in the league from Week 14 on.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson carried just 7 times (for 36 yards) as his team went pass-heavy in Thursday night's loss to the Vikings. He made up for it on the receiving side, though, catching 9 balls for 76 yards among a team-high 10 targets. New England dropped back 42 times in the game vs. just 13 running plays. We'd bet on that swinging back in the other direction at least some in a Week 13 home date with the Bills. We'll see about the status of RB Damien Harris for that one, after he left the Vikings loss with a thigh injury.
