Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's expected back for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) put in another limited practice on Thursday. He has a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. We'll see how Swift is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Colts. The rookie didn't practice all week but will be a game-time decision, HC Kliff Kingsbury said Thursday. Moore remained Arizona's #4 WR last week and isn't a viable fantasy play.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game vs. the Colts. He didn't practice all week. HC Kliff Kingsbury labeled Conner a game-time decision. Conner said that this is a pain-management issue and that he's "confident" he'll play on Saturday. We'll get Arizona's inactives around 7 pm ET.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) remained sidelined on Thursday. It's looking like he'll miss this weekend's game vs. the Broncos, giving TE Foster Moreau another start.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett has been activated from the COVID list. He should be back for Sunday's game vs. the Bears. Lockett averaged 7 targets, 4.2 catches, 89 yards and .4 TDs in his last 5 outings before missing this past week's game vs. the Rams.

Panthers WR D.J. Moore (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. He played through this injury vs. the Bills last week but might have aggravated it. We'll get another update on Moore tomorrow.

Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He's on track to return for Sunday's showdown with the Patriots. With WR Cole Beasley (COVID) out for that one, it'll be Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and Emmanuel Sanders as Buffalo's top 3 WRs.

Bucs RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) has been placed on IR. This knocks him out for the rest of the regular season, so Fournette can be dropped from all redraft rosters. The Bucs are hoping to get Fournette back for the playoffs. Ronald Jones looks like a borderline RB1 the next 3 weeks vs. the Panthers, Jets and Panthers again.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (quad) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. It's possible that Philly is just being cautious coming off Tuesday's night's win over Washington, but Sanders' status for Sunday's game vs. the Giants is at least in some doubt. His absence would leave Jordan Howard as the Eagles' likely lead back, with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell behind him.

Washington RB Antonio Gibson (toe) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He played through this injury on Tuesday night's loss to the Eagles but appears to be in danger of missing this Sunday night's game vs. the Cowboys. With RB J.D. McKissic on IR, Gibson's absence would leave Washington with RBs Jaret Patterson and Jonathan Williams.

Rams RB Cam Akers (Achilles) has been designated to return from IR. It's remarkable considering he tore his Achilles just about 5 months ago. The Rams now have 21 days to place Akers on the active roster. We certainly don't expect him to play before most fantasy seasons are over, but we'll keep an eye on Akers' progress. Perhaps he returns for the NFL playoffs.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (chest) has been activated from IR and will play vs. the 49ers tonight. He's been out since Week 11 but had no setbacks in practice this week, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's unclear exactly how big a role Brown will play tonight, but he obviously brings plenty of upside. See exactly where Brown sits in the Week 16 WR Rankings.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney has been activated from the COVID list. He was dealing with an oblique injury before testing positive, so his status for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles remains uncertain.

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has been placed on the COVID list. That very likely knocks him out of Sunday's game vs. the Rams and means another start for RB Alexander Mattison, who just came off the COVID list on Wednesday. As we've seen both this season and last, Mattison is a high-end RB1 whenever Cook is out.

Saints QB Taysom Hill has been placed on the COVID list. He's joined by QB Trevor Siemian. That leaves 4th-round rookie QB Ian Book to make his 1st career start vs. the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. The Notre Dame product was a mediocre college passer, leaving school with a 63.8% completion rate, 7.8 yards per attempt and 72 TDs vs. 20 INTs. He did run for 1,517 yards and 17 TDs over 4 college seasons -- and then ran a 4.65-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day. Book goes just 6'0 and 211 pounds, though, so he's no Taysom Hill. Book is only in play for DFS showdown contests. Expect a heavy dose of RBs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram on Monday night.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke has been activated from the COVID list, putting him on track to start Sunday night's game vs. the Cowboys. It's good news for the Washington offense, but Heinicke is just a low-end QB2 against the league's 4th-ranked QB defense.

Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) remained sidelined on Wednesday. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last week that Waller is "hopeful for a return soon," but this isn't a good start for his chances of playing vs. the Broncos on Sunday. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Jets WR Jamison Crowder missed Wednesday's practice with a calf issue. He seemed to make it out of last week's loss to the Dolphins fine, but we'll keep an eye on Crowder's status over the next few days.

Jaguars WR Laviska Shenault (shoulder, foot) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he's able to get back on the practice field tomorrow, but hopefully Shenault isn't in your Week 16 fantasy plans.
