Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) "was moving around better in practice this weekend, raising some hopes - however unlikely - he could make it back" for today's game vs. the Packers. Schefter adds that Jackson is dealing with a bone bruise in his ankle, not an ankle sprain as originally reported. It still sounds like Jackson is worse than 50/50 to start today -- and we won't get his official game status until 3 pm ET. We'll be on the lookout for further updates. But, as of now, Jackson should still be on fantasy benches.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (illness) is expected to play vs. the Packers today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Brown was sidelined on Thursday but returned to a limited practice on Friday. We're expecting him to play his usual role today.

Broncos RBs Melvin Gordon (thumb, hip) and Javonte Williams (knee) are expected to play vs. the Bengals today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Unless we hear otherwise, we're expecting the near 50/50 split in Denver's backfield to continue.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) is expected to play vs. the Giants today. But Schefter adds that, "Dallas could have a slightly more cautious approach with him" as he battles that partially torn plantar fascia. It's tough to project exactly how much work Pollard will get today, making him a risky fantasy play.

Cardinals RB James Conner (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Lions today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Conner is listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Friday, so don't expect him to be at 100%. That -- plus the return of Chase Edmonds -- knocks Conner into lower-end RB2 territory this week. The matchup, of course, adds plenty of upside.

Ravens WR Sammy Watkins has landed on the COVID list and will miss Sunday's game vs. the Packers. Watkins isn't on the fantasy radar -- but his absence makes WR Rashod Bateman's playing time a bit safer.

Bucs WR Breshad Perriman has landed on the COVID list. He'll miss Sunday night's game vs. the Saints. Perriman caught the game-winning TD vs. the Bills last week, but he saw just 2 targets on a 31% snap rate. Perriman's absence should make Tyler Johnson Tampa's clear #3 WR on Sunday night.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin (concussion) was a full go in Saturday's practice. We won't get the team's final injury report until tomorrow with the game vs. the Eagles moved to Tuesday, but McLaurin now looks likely to play in that one. Washington's QB questions, though, leave him as a shaky play as anything more than a WR3.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) has been activated from IR. He's on track to play vs. the Lions on Sunday -- his 1st action since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 9. Edmonds averaged 9.4 carries and 4.6 targets in the 8 games prior and should see at least that much work vs. Detroit with RB James Conner dealing with an ankle injury.

Jets RB Michael Carter (ankle) has been activated from IR, putting him on track to play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday. HC Robert Saleh said Carter will have a "significant role" in that one. We're expecting 12-15 carries and 2-4 targets.

Rams WR Odell Beckham has been activated from the COVID list. He's eligible to play vs. the Seahawks on Tuesday night and can be stuck back into Week 15 fantasy lineups.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson has been activated from the COVID list. Assuming he's over the thigh issue that cost him Week 13, he should play vs. the Seahawks on Tuesday night. It's unclear exactly how touches will be divvied between Henderson and RB Sony Michel. Consider both guys risk/reward fantasy plays against Seattle's 31st-ranked RB defense.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Bears. He didn't practice all week, though, so we'd be surprised if he played. Thielen should still be on fantasy benches right now. We'll let you know if we hear that he has a real chance to play on Monday.

Saints TE Adam Trautman (knee) has been activated from IR. He returned to practice this week and figures to play vs. the Bucs on Sunday night. Trautman averaged 6.8 targets and 4.0 catches in his last 4 games -- but none of those came with QB Taysom Hill. He's worth considering in 1-game DFS contests but isn't a viable Week 15 season-long play.

Washington has activated DE Montez Sweat and DT Jonathan Allen — among others — from the COVID list. That likely clears them to face the Eagles on Tuesday. Sweat does still need to be activated from IR, where he spent the past 5 weeks with his jaw fracture

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) is not listed on the final injury report. He got Wednesday off but put in a limited practice on Thursday and a full practice on Friday. Keep Kittle glued into fantasy lineups for this weekend’s game vs. the Falcons.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen (ankle) missed practice again on Friday. He looks like a long shot to play vs. the Bears on Monday night, but we’ll get another update on his status on Saturday afternoon.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson remains on the COVID list as of Saturday morning. He has some extra time to get cleared after his game vs. the Seahawks was moved to Tuesday. We’ll let you know via Shark Bites when he’s cleared, but Henderson will be tough to wait on if he’s not cleared before Sunday’s games kick off. His status also impacts RB Sony Michel’s fantasy value, of course.

Broncos RBs Melvin Gordon (thumb, hip) and Javonte Williams (knee) are listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bengals. Gordon got in 3 limited practices this week; Williams was limited on Wednesday and Friday, sitting out on Thursday with some knee swelling. HC Vic Fangio said Friday that Williams is “fine.” We’re expecting the near-even 50/50 split in Denver’s backfield to continue this weekend.

Washington RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) has yet to practice this week. He has 2 extra days to clear the protocol after his game vs. the Eagles got moved to Tuesday, but McKissic still doesn’t look likely to play in that one. His absence would be good news for RB Antonio Gibson.
