Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
49ers WR Jauan Jennings (hip) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and will play vs. the Buccaneers on Sunday. That’ll be the first game we see Jennings and WR Ricky Pearsall together. It’s uncertain how snaps and targets will be divvied between those two, leaving them both as risk/reward Week 10 fantasy plays.
49ers WRs Deebo Samuel (rib, oblique) and Jauan Jennings (hip) were limited in practice on Wednesday. That puts both guys on track to play vs. the Buccaneers this weekend. An active Samuel is a must-start. We'll see how snaps and targets are divvied between Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. Consider both guys WR4s with upside in Week 10 fantasy lineups.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (illness, wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Cowboys. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that he hasn’t pushed Samuel too hard yet but that he’s gotten better each day. He seemingly has a shot to play against Dallas, but we’ll look for further updates on his status. WR Jauan Jennings (hip) has been ruled out for Week 8, which should mean a significant role for WR Ricky Pearsall regardless of Samuel’s status.
49ers GM John Lynch said in a Friday morning radio spot that WR Jauan Jennings (hip) is doubtful to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday night. Jennings didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday. We're still waiting to see if WR Deebo Samuel will be able to play against Dallas, but WR Ricky Pearsall figures to see the field plenty in that one with Jennings and WR Brandon Aiyuk out.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (illness) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's seemingly making quick progress in his recovery from pneumonia and has a real chance to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday night. We'll update Samuel's status again tomorrow. WR Jauan Jennings (hip) remained sidelined on Thursday and isn't looking like a good bet to play against Dallas.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (illness, wrist) did not practice on Wednesday. He did do some individual conditioning drills, though, according to Bay Area News Group's Cam Inman. HC Kyle Shanahan said that Samuel is "doing better than you'd expect" and "has a chance" to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday night. WR Jauan Jennings (hip) also missed Wednesday's practice and remains iffy for the Dallas game. We'll update both guys again on Thursday.
49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in the Week 7 loss to the Chiefs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "There may be other damage," Rapoport adds. Aiyuk will miss the rest of the 2024 season. And any "other damage" to his knee could impact his availability for the start of the 2025 campaign. We'll keep you updated on Aiyuk's diagnosis and timeline for return.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said after Sunday's loss to the Chiefs that "we're worried" WR Brandon Aiyuk has a torn ACL. "Not confirmed yet," Shanahan added. We should get an update on Aiyuk tomorrow, but a torn ACL would end his 2024 season. His absence would mean target boosts for WR Deebo Samuel and TE George Kittle -- and put WR Jauan Jennings back into weekly starter consideration.
49ers WR Jauan Jennings (hip) missed practice all week and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that WR Ricky Pearsall will make his debut this weekend, but we can't imagine he'll play a big role after missing most of training camp and then getting shot in late August. Jennings' absence is a slight boost to WR Deebo Samuel, WR Brandon Aiyuk, and TE George Kittle.
49ers WR Jauan Jennings (hip) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He's seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs. Jennings' absence would mean slight target projection boosts for WRs Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. We'll update Jennings' status again tomorrow.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel returned from a calf injury to record 3 catches for 58 yards against New England. He added two carries and didn’t have his routes or snaps limited.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) is expected to play vs. the Patriots today. It's a slight surprise after HC Kyle Shanahan said previously that Samuel was expected to miss a couple of weeks. Samuel got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, though, and will evidently suit up today. There's always some risk of an in-game aggravation of soft-tissue injuries, but unless we get a report of Samuel being limited today, he belongs in most fantasy lineups. His return -- along with TE George Kittle's -- makes Week 3 breakout Jauan Jennings tough to trust in fantasy lineups this week.
49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That should put him on track to play vs. the Patriots this weekend, but we'll see how Kittle progresses over the next few days. Kittle's return would dent WR Jauan Jennings' upside, although he'll still be in play as a WR3 as long as Deebo Samuel remains out.
We knew 49ers WR Jauan Jennings would step into a larger role in Week 3. The 49ers entered the game without Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. But Jennings turned in an unbelivable showing with 11 catches, 175 yards, and 3 TDs.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Rams, as expected. HC Kyle Shanahan said earlier this week that Samuel is expected to miss a couple of games. His absence leaves WR Jauan Jennings as San Francisco's No. 2 WR. He's in play as a WR4 for fantasy owners in a bind this week.
49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. Kittle showed up on Thursday with a sore hamstring and missed the final two practices of the week. The Niners will be down Kittle, RB Christian McCaffrey, and WR Deebo Samuel on Sunday. They’ll need to lean on RB Jordan Mason and WR Brandon Aiyuk. WR Jauan Jennings should also see a boosted role. TE Eric Saubert looks like the Kittle replacement but would be a desperation fantasy play. The 30-year-old owns 38 career catches.
