Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts WR Josh Downs (knee) is expected to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday morning. "But the team could be cautious in how much it uses him," Schefter adds. Downs lasted just 12 snaps last weekend before re-injuring his knee and then didn’t practice at all this week. He'd be an extremely risky Week 10 fantasy start.

Bills LB Terrel Bernard is officially questionable for Monday night's game against the Broncos. We'd be surprised if he plays, though, eight days after sustaining a concussion in the loss to the Bengals. Bernard didn't advance past limited practice this week and hadn't cleared the protocol as of Saturday. He'd need to do so ahead of the early Sunday games to be a viable IDP option. Assuming Bernard sits, Tyrel Dodson would be the top LB option among Bills. He has ranked highest among Buffalo LBs in our Week 10 rankings. Rookie Dorian Williams will likely run second but isn't a real IDP option.

The Bills have ruled S Micah Hyde (neck, stinger) and CB Christian Benford (hamstring) out for Monday night's game against the Broncos. The latter should mean full playing time for CB Rasul Douglas. The former Packer played 60% of snaps against the Bengals in his first action since arriving at the trade deadline. Taylor Rapp should step into a starter role in Hyde's absence. S Damar Hamlin might also be activated but would still operate as a reserve/special teamer.

The Vikings have downgraded WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) to out for Sunday's game against the Saints and are not yet activating him from IR. They had officially listed him as questionable after Friday's practice, but this has been the expectation all week. We'll check in on Jefferson's status heading toward a Week 11 clash with the Broncos. That game's currently scheduled for Sunday night, which could challenge Jefferson's usability in fantasy lineups if he carries a questionable tag. Beyond that, we'll see whether the Week 13 starts to factor into the decision on when/whether to bring Jefferson back.

Both Buccaneers starting outside CBs are questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. HC Todd Bowles says Carlton Davis (toe) will be a game-time decision. Jamel Dean remains in the concussion protocol as of Saturday afternoon, though he progressed to a full Friday practice. We'll see about the status of both players heading into the game. Losing either would add upside to the Tennessee passing game. Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins already makes for a solid WR2 play across fantasy formats. Rookie QB Will Levis will be a boom/bust fantasy option in his third NFL start regardless of Tampa's specific defensive lineup. The CB injuries obviously add potential upside, though.

Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Browns on Sunday, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Mitchell was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday. The hamstring shouldn't be an issue tomorrow. Mitchell's role remains uncertain, though, and the matchup is tough against Cleveland's fourth-ranked RB defense. See where the rookie sits in the Week 10 RB Rankings.

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (toe) is expected to play vs. the Seahawks, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Samuel missed Week 9 and was limited in practice all this week, so it's possible (likely?) that he's still not at 100%. He's a shaky WR4 play in PPR leagues.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He was added to the injury report on Friday and limited in practice -- and then was limited again on Saturday. But he's evidently in no danger of missing Monday night's game vs. the Broncos. Diggs should stay locked into fantasy lineups.

Saints WR Michael Thomas was arrested on Friday night on simple battery charges, ESPN's Katherine Terrell reports. Thomas was released from custody around 10 pm ET. He was reportedly involved in an altercation with a man who was doing construction work on a house in Thomas' neighborhood. Thomas was upset that the man was parked in front of his house and allegedly issued verbal threats, threw a brick at his windshield, shoved him, and knocked his phone out of his hands. It's unlikely that this incident draws a suspension from the league, and we're still expecting Thomas to play vs. the Vikings tomorrow. We'll let you know if that changes.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Cardinals are activating RB James Conner from IR and will play him Sunday against the Falcons. We've been assuming all week this would be the case. We'll watch for any early Sunday reports about Conner's expected playing time and/or touch count. For now, he sits low in RB2 territory in our Week 10 RB rankings.

Seahawks LB Jordyn Brooks (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders. HC Pete Carroll said Friday, however, that "there's a really good chance" Brooks will play, according to John Boyle of the team website. We'll confirm Brooks' status on Sunday. Make sure you have an insurance option available.

Packers LB Quay Walker (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Assuming he's out, that will mean LB Isaiah McDuffie starting in his place for the second straight game. Green Bay also expects to go without lead CB Jaire Alexander (shoulder), who is also doubtful. In addition, DT Kenny Clark (shoulder) and S Rudy Ford are questionable. We'll check the status of all four players Sunday before the game.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns after sustaining a hamstring injury during the practice week. He saw limited work Thursday and Friday. Missing Humphrey would leave Baltimore without its top cover guy. The Ravens will have S Marcus Williams, though. He practiced in full all week and is off the final injury report after missing the past three contests with a hamstring injury.

Saints RB Kendre Miller (ankle) missed practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings. The rookie has totaled just four carries and two targets since RB Jamaal Williams returned in Week 7, so there’s little fantasy impact here.

Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (toe) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. He seemingly has a chance to return for this one but probably still wouldn’t be at 100%. We’ll look for more details on Samuel’s status but won’t get Washington’s inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (hip) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices after being sidelined on Wednesday. JSN will be ready for his usual role this weekend.

Colts LB Zaire Franklin (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He appears to be trending toward returning after missing last week's game, though. Franklin sat out Wednesday but returned to a limited Thursday workout and then practiced in full Friday. We'll check his status Sunday. The Colts have ruled CB JuJu Brents (quad) out for the second straight game.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (chest) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He was a full-go on Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday’s practice. The chest shouldn’t be a factor in this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders.

Packers WR Christian Watson (back) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He’ll be ready for his usual role in that one but is tough to like as more than a WR4 in a struggling Green Bay passing game.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. Seemingly healthier than he’s been since Week 2, Samuel is back to WR2-with-upside status.
