Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Bucs RB Rachaad White (foot) got in a limited practice on Thursday. He was limited in the first practice last week before missing the final two and then the Saints game. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days. HC Todd Bowles said Thursday that White, Bucky Irving, and Sean Tucker will all play when healthy. "As the game goes, we’ll go with the hot hand and see who’s running what style and how it fits the game, and go with that guy," Bowles added. This will be a tough backfield to project when White returns.
Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday. HC Todd Bowles said Evans "tweaked" his leg in the Week 6 win over the Saints but is "getting better." He has an extra day to get ready for Monday night's game vs. the Ravens. We'll see if Evans gets back on the field tomorrow.
Steelers RB Najee Harris (ribs) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready for his usual role in Sunday night's game against the Jets.
49ers WR Jauan Jennings (hip) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He's seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs. Jennings' absence would mean slight target projection boosts for WRs Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. We'll update Jennings' status again tomorrow.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a hamstring. That puts his availability for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers in question. Check back on Friday for an update on Smith-Schuster's status.
Panthers WR Diontae Johnson (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday. He's been playing through this ankle injury for the past two weeks, but this is the first time he's missed consecutive practices. We'll see if he gets on the field on Friday and then how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders.
Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice. Consider it good news that he was able to get on the field for a second consecutive day. We continue to project Kupp to play vs. the Raiders this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on Friday's final injury report.
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He's not looking like a great bet to play vs. the Rams this weekend, but we'll get another update on Meyers' status on Friday afternoon.
Giants WR Malik Nabers (concussion) graduated to a full practice on Thursday. Barring a setback, he'll play vs. the Eagles this weekend. Nabers was off to a red-hot start prior to missing the last two games, averaging 13.0 targets, 8.8 catches, 97 yards, and 0.8 TDs per game over the first four weeks
Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly gives him a chance to play vs. the Lions this weekend. We'll see what Jones does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.
Colts RB Trey Sermon (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained out. It's looking like it'll again be Sermon and Tyler Goodson in the Colts' backfield for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Bills RB James Cook (toe) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to play vs. the Titans this weekend, and it doesn't look like the toe will be a significant issue. The question now is whether Cook will lose more work to RB Ray Davis, who's coming off an impressive Week 6. We'll see about that, but Cook is still worth starting as a RB2 for most fantasy teams.
Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) did not practice on Thursday. He wasn't even on Wednesday's injury report, so Lockett either hurt his knee between then and Thursday or just got a veteran day off. We'll update his status when we get Seattle's final injury report tomorrow.
Patriots QB Drake Maye (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He reportedly had an MRI on his knee on Wednesday, but it must not have shown anything to worry about. Maye will be ready to go for Sunday morning's game vs. the Jaguars.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. He now seems unlikely to play vs. the Jaguars in London on Sunday morning. With Stevenson out last week, RB Antonio Gibson led New England's backfield with a 51% snap rate, 13 of 21 RB carries, and four targets. He busted with just 43 scoreless yards in that one, but the workload projection at least makes him a RB3 or Flex option in Week 7 fantasy lineups.
Saints WR Rashid Shaheed had the meniscus repaired in his knee today and will be out for the rest of the season. He will go on Injured Reserve and face a four to six month recovery.
Browns RB Nick Chubb's Week 7 workload is a "work in progress," HC Kevin Stefanki said Thursday. "We want to make sure that he's available for the long term," Stefanski added. It's a very reasonable take as Chubb returns from last year's multi-ligament knee injury. We'd be surprised if he handled anything close to a normal Chubb workload vs. the Bengals on Sunday. Chubb should not be in Week 7 fantasy lineups if you can help it.
Saints HC Dennis Allen said Wednesday that QB Derek Carr (oblique) is "getting closer into the day-to-day type of range." Carr is officially doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the Broncos, but it sounds like he has a chance to make it back for Week 8. We'll see how QB Spencer Rattler fares in his second career start against Denver.
Steelers RB Najee Harris (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He's coming off a 14-carry, 106-yard outing vs. the Raiders, and we're guessing this was more of a rest day than a legitimate injury. We'll see if Harris gets back on the practice field tomorrow, ahead of Sunday night's game vs. the Jets.
Jets WR Davante Adams (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Looks like the hamstring healed right up on Adams' trip from Vegas to New York. He'll make his Jets debut on Sunday night vs. the Steelers. See where Adams sits in the Week 7 WR Rankings.
