Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (knee) is expected to play Dunday against the Browns, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. That’s not a surprise, given that Meyers played through the same issue last week

Jaguars WR Marvin Jones (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Colts. He apparently hurt his hamstring in Friday's practice and might miss more time. His absence will elevate Jamal Agnew to the #3 WR role behind Christian Kirk and Zay Jones.

The Panthers are listening to trade offers for RB Christian McCaffrey, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. But "a deal might not be easy to complete" because the Panthers are prepared to keep McCaffrey for 2023 "if they don't receiver a suitable offer," Schefter adds. Carolina has reportedly already declined 2 offers for McCaffrey. We'd consider a trade unlikely to happen but will track the situation through the November 1 trade deadline. If McCaffrey was dealt, the Panthers would be left with RBs D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard.

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon (neck, ribs) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Chargers. We haven't heard any concern about his availability for this one, but the injuries add some risk to his Week 6 fantasy profile. RBs Mike Boone and Latavius Murray figure to be active alongside Gordon on Monday.

Chargers K Dustin Hopkins (right quad) isn't listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was a full participant on Saturday and looks safe to use in fantasy lineups vs. the Broncos on Monday night.

The Chargers list WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Broncos. Allen said earlier today that he's not planning on playing against Denver and is targeting a Week 7 return. We'll track his status next week. Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter will again serve as Los Angeles' #2 and #3 WRs on Monday.

Patriots WR Nelson Agholor (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. New England will roll out Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, Tyquan Thornton and DeVante Parker as its top 4 WRs. Meyers is the only viable fantasy option.

Commanders QB Carson Wentz suffered a fractured finger on his throwing hand in Thursday night's win over the Bears, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Wentz will visit a hand specialist to determine next steps. "His availability moving forward is up in the air," Rapoport adds. QB Taylor Heinicke is listed as Washington's backup, but 5th-round rookie QB Sam Howell is also waiting in the wings.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa cleared concussion protocol on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Tagovailoa will be held out of Sunday's game vs. the Vikings but is expected to return for Week 7.

The Colts have downgraded RBs Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) to out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. That leaves Deon Jackson as the anticipated starter. He obviously lands in a good situation for touch upside. Jacksonville does rank 9th in Football Outsiders' run-defense DVOA and 7th in overall defensive DVOA, though. So it's not a terrific matchup. Consider Jackson to be a fantasy option if you're in need rather than a player to specifically target.

ESPN’s Lindsay Thiry reports that Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) doesn’t expect to play Monday night against the Broncos. She adds that he’s “targeting” Week 7 for a return from the issue that has dogged him since the opener. We’ll continue tracking Allen’s status

Dolphins QB Teddy. Bridgewater has cleared the concussion protocol, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Bridgewater will still serve as backup to QB Skylar Thompson for Sunday's game against the Vikings, though. We'll see about Miami's QB situation for an upside Week 7 home date with the Steelers.

Jaguars WR Marvin Jones was added to Friday's injury report with a hamstring. He was limited in practice and is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Colts. Jones was a very fringy fantasy option to begin with, so you should avoid him at less than 100%. Jones' absence on Sunday would be a boost for WRs Christian Kirk and Zay Jones.

Colts RB Nyheim Hines (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars. He graduated to a full practice on Friday, so it looks like he has a good chance to be cleared by Sunday. Hines, of course, will only be a fantasy option if he plays and RB Jonathan Taylor doesn’t.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Frank Reich said Friday morning that Taylor "has a chance to play" on Sunday. We should get an update on his status that morning and will get Indianapolis' inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) remained limited in Friday's practice. We'll see what he does on Saturday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Broncos.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) isn’t listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was added on Thursday and limited in practice – but then put in a full practice on Friday. So Lockett should be ready for his usual role in a great matchup vs. the Cardinals on Sunday.

Panthers WR Robbie Anderson was added to Friday's injury report with an illness. He didn't practice and is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. Guys tend to play through illnesses, but you'll need to check back Sunday to see if Anderson is active if you're hoping to use him in a Week 6 fantasy lineup.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Panthers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Sean McVay said Friday that he expects Higbee to play on Sunday. This is a 4:05 pm ET kickoff, but we should get an update on Higbee on Sunday morning.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Sean McVay didn't express much concern about Kupp throughout the week and said Friday that he expects Kupp to play on Sunday. You can keep him penciled into Week 6 fantasy lineups.
