Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

According to multiple reports, Browns HC Kevin Stefanski says RB Kareem Hunt will miss at least 3 weeks with the calf injury he suffered in the loss to Arizona. "Hopefully not much longer than that, but we'll see," he said, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll see about Nick Chubb's status for Thursday night's game against Denver. He, of course, missed the Cardinals game with his own calf injury. If Chubb can't go, Cleveland will be down to D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton as backfield leaders. That would obviously mean touch-volume upside for both players. Just keep in mind that neither is likely to land in a workhorse role -- and that both are limited talents.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott downplayed his calf injury after Sunday's overtime win in New England. "I’ll be fine," Prescott said. "I’ve got a lot of confidence in myself and the medical team. I feel good ... It doesn’t hurt as bad, obviously, when you score and win the game. I just came down funny and didn’t like what I felt.” Prescott was in a walking boot after the game, though, and walking with a "significant limp," according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. He's schedule for an MRI on Monday, so we should learn more soon. Prescott gets a perfectly timed Week 7 bye.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said after Sunday night's loss to the Steelers that RB Alex Collins missed the OT portion with hip and glute injuries, according to John Boyle of the team website. Carroll said he didn't yet know whether the issues would affect Collins' Week 7 status. We'll keep an eye on him as well as the rest of Seattle's backfield this week. Rashaad Penny is eligible to come off IR at any point. Chris Carson, however, will miss at least 2 more games for his neck issue.

Packers S Darnell Savage left Sunday's win over the Bears with a concussion. We'll see whether he can get through the league protocol in time for next Sunday's game against Washington.

Lions DE Charles Harris left Sunday's game against the Bengals with a hip injury and did not return. We'll look for more details on his status early in the week.

Seahawks DE Darrell Taylor left the field on a stretcher in the 4th quarter of Sunday night's game at Pittsburgh. He was immobilized after an injury to the hear or neck. NBC reported that he took an ambulance to the hospital but was moving his extremities on the way. We'll see about the diagnosis and return timeline for a guy who has been Seattle's top pass rusher this season.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was in a walking boot after Sunday's win over the Patriots because of a calf strain he suffered in the game. Prescott reportedly assured reports that he'll be "fine." We'll obviously watch his progress. Dallas gets a well-timed Week 7 bye to help him get past it.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield injured his left shoulder in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. He’s playing through a partially torn labrum in that shoulder and said he dislocated it again today. “It feels like s***,” he said after the game. Mayfield was able to return to the Arizona game and thinks he’ll be able to play vs. Denver on Thursday night. We’ll keep an eye on him this week.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt injured his right leg in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He needed help getting off the field, putting no weight on that leg. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Hunt has been ruled out with a calf injury.

Chiefs LB Anthony Hitchens left Sunday's win over Washington with a right elbow injury. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that it's believed to be a hyperextension. We'll see about Hitchens' return timeline. His absence could allow Willie Gay Jr. and Nick Bolton to take over the the corps' top 2 in playing time.

Browns WR Odell Beckham injured his right shoulder in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He was in obvious pain on the sidelines before heading back to the locker room with trainers. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Beckham returned in the 3rd quarter.

Panthers WR Terrace Marshall sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. We'll track his progress through the protocol, but the rookie isn't on the redraft radar.

Washington RB Antonio Gibson was in and out of Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs with trouble with the stress fracture in his shin. "We'll see how he is," HC Ron Rivera said afterward. "We did take him out of the game because he was struggling with it. ... We'll see how he is tomorrow morning." This issue figures to linger throughout the season for Gibson. RBs J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson could both be in for expanded roles at some point.

Ravens RB Latavius Murray injured his ankle in the 2nd half of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. He was deemed questionable to return but never did. Baltimore's big lead might have played a part in that. We'll look for an update on Murray's status.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton suffered a quad injury in the 2nd half of Sunday's game vs. the Texans and did not return. “I don’t think it’s bad,” HC Frank Reich said afterward. Hilton caught all 4 of his targets for 80 yards before exiting. We'll look for an update on the quad.

The Titans added WR A.J. Brown to the injury report today, calling him questionable with an illness. We’ll see about further details. For now, try to secure an insurance option if you’ve been planning to use Brown

Patriots CBs Jonathan Jones and Jalen Mills are active for today’s game against the Cowboys. Each guy entered the game questionable

Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs (ankle) and DE Randy Gregory (knee) are active for today’s game against the Patriots. S Damontae Kazee (hip) and S Donovan Wilson (groin) are also active. We’d still bet on Jayron Kearse keeping the starting gig that once belonged to Wilson

Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back) is active for today’s game against the Raiders

3:02pm EDT 10/17/21

Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable on the final injury report. Between the rib injury and last week’s goal-line fumble, Harris is a risky fantasy play today. Rookie RB Rhamondre Stevenson could play an expanded role. RB J.J. Taylor is a healthy scratch again today.
