Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Dolphins RB Salvon Ahmed (groin) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. He returned to a limited practice on Friday but isn’t expected to play on Sunday. Ahmed’s absence will leave De’Von Achane as Miami’s No. 2 back and lock Raheem Mostert into a big workload.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings. He didn’t practice all week, so it’s possible that he misses more time beyond Week 3. Joshua Kelley will again serve as the Chargers’ lead back on Sunday after playing 79% of the offensive snaps last week. Kelley is a nice RB2 play in a likely shootout.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for this weekend’s game vs. the Panthers. He’s seen just five targets through two weeks, so there’s minimal fantasy impact here.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Panthers. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice after sitting out the previous two days. Metcalf should play against Atlanta, but we should get another update on his status on Sunday morning.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow (calf) returned to a limited practice on Friday. WR Ja'Marr Chase told reporters afterward that Burrow didn't throw much. We'll see what Burrow does on Saturday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Rams, but there seems to be a good chance that he doesn't play. Burrow's absence would leave QB Jake Browning under center -- and make all of Cincinnati's weapons shakier fantasy plays.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Week 3 vs. the Texans. His absence should lead to greater opportunity for teammate Christian Kirk to build upon his resurgent 14-catch, 110-receiving-yard performance from last Sunday. See where Kirk lands in our current WR rankings.

Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He didn’t practice all week and is obviously a long shot to play. Montgomery’s absence should mean a bigger role for RB Jahmyr Gibbs, although RB Craig Reynolds and potentially RB Zonovan Knight will be in the mix.

Lions WR Josh Reynolds (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so we'd be surprised if he didn't play on Sunday. We'll get Detroit's inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Falcons. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday and full participation on Friday. St. Brown told reporters on Friday that he plans to play with a steel plate in his shoe so that his injured toe can’t bend as much. He added that he’s dealing with a bruised bone in that toe, rather than turf toe. "But it's been getting better every day. I'm excited and happy that it's nothing too serious,” St. Brown added. Even at less than 100%, St. Brown would be nearly impossible to bench in season-long fantasy lineups.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. He went from a full practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday and then no practice on Friday. Hopkins said Friday that he'll travel to Cleveland but wouldn't guarantee that he'll play. We'll watch for updates on his status and will get Tennessee's inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Hopkins managed just four catches for 40 scoreless yards playing through this ankle injury last week.

Titans RB Derrick Henry (toe, rest) is not listed on the final Week 3 injury report. He got Thursday off but returned to a full practice on Friday. Henry will be ready for his usual role vs. the Browns this weekend.

Browns WR Amari Cooper (shoulder, groin) is not listed on the final Week 3 injury report. He didn’t practice on Wednesday but put in limited workouts on Thursday and Friday. Cooper should be ready for a full allotment of snaps in this weekend’s plus matchup vs. the Titans.

Saints TE Foster Moreau (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Packers. He's totaled just two targets but 68 pass routes through two weeks. Moreau's absence is a slight boost to TE Juwan Johnson's Week 3 fantasy outlook.

Saints RB Jamaal Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Packers. RB Kendre Miller (knee, hamstring) is not listed on the final injury report after practicing all week. The rookie will make his regular-season debut on Sunday, joining RB Tony Jones (and probably Taysom Hill) in the backfield. Miller is an interesting DFS tournament flier but would be a risky season-long play.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, sitting out on Thursday, which HC Matt LaFleur said was the plan for the week. We’ll look for further updates on Watson’s status and will get Green Bay’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Watson will be a risk/reward WR3 in fantasy lineups if he suits up.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We’ll look for further updates on Jones’ status and will get Green Bay’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Jones will carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups if he does end up playing.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) is not listed on the final Week 3 injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. Cooks should be ready for his usual role in Sunday’s plus matchup vs. the Cardinals.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel is "day-to-day" with a rib injury suffered in Thursday night's game vs. the Giants, HC Kyle Shanahan said. Samuel returned after suffering the injury, scoring a 29-yard TD in the fourth quarter. He should be fine for Week 4, especially with the extra few days to rest up.

Bears WR Darnell Mooney (knee) got in a full practice on Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He should be ready for his usual role vs. the Chiefs this weekend. Chicago’s passing volume figures to be elevated in that one, but Mooney remains a desperation fantasy play.

Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website expects RB Jahmyr Gibbs to get around 15 carries vs. the Falcons on Sunday. If the rookie gets that type of rushing volume -- to go along with his big role in the passing game -- he could be in line for a breakout Week 3. Gibbs is a must-start in season-long fantasy leagues and a recommended play in DFS tournaments.
