Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Titans QB Ryan Tannehill struggled to deal with pressure in Week 3, taking five sacks – including 3.5 from EDGE Myles Garrett. The veteran completed just 13 of 25 passes for 104 yards, 0 TDs, and 0 INTs. He's now tallied only 1 passing score through 3 games. He's tough to trust as anything more than a low-end QB2 right now. Next up is a home showdown with the Bengals.

Titans RB Derrick Henry managed only 20 yards on 11 attempts in a Week 3 loss. Even against a stout Cleveland defense, this outcome was tough to anticipate. Henry’s yardage marked his lowest output since 2017. The Titans’ O-line remains an issue, but Henry’s volume will keep him in the RB1 mix next week vs. Cincinnati.

Browns RB Jerome Ford racked up two TDs in Week 3. Entering a tough matchup with Tennessee, the second-year back mustered only 1.8 YPC on 10 attempts. But he cashed in with one goal line score – and added a downfield TD catch while split out wide. Ford will remain on the RB2/FLEX radar for a Week 4 date with Baltimore. Note that Kareem Hunt mixed in for 5 carries (3 targets) in his 2023 debut.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson passed for 289 yards and 2 TDs in a Week 3 win over Tennessee. Watson completed 81.8% of his passes on a day that found Cleveland accomplish little on the ground. He leaned on Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, with the duo combining for a 51.5% target share. Watson hosts the Ravens for Week 4 before entering a Week 5 bye.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson suffered an apparent right knee injury late in Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. Jefferson was able to walk off the field under his own power. We'll update his status as soon as we know more.

Update: Jefferson was reportedly cramping and has already returned to the game. Exhale!

Ravens RB Gus Edwards left to get checked for a concussion in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Colts. That leaves the backfield to Melvin Gordon and Kenyan Drake. We'll update Edwards' status when we know more.

Chiefs LB Willie Gay Jr. (quad) is active for today's game against the Bears.

Chargers WR Mike Williams suffered an apparent left knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. He needed a couple of trainers to help him off the field. Stay tuned for an update.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (toe) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and would be a high-risk fantasy play.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday – and then reportedly looked and felt good enough in a Saturday workout to play today. This is a plus matchup against a bad Bears defense, but the hamstring adds risk to Pacheco’s fantasy profile. See where he lands in the Week 3 RB Rankings.

Saints QB Derek Carr suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Packers and is questionable to return. QB Jameis Winston has entered the game for New Orleans. We'll update Carr's status when we know more.

Update: Carr has been ruled out. It appeared to be a right shoulder injury.

Seahawks S Julian Love (hamstring) and S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) are active for today's game against the Panthers. S Jamal Adams is inactive. Expect him to make his season debut in Week 4 after returning to practice the past two weeks.

Seahawks TE Will Dissly (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. His absence is a slight boost to TE Noah Fant.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, so we’re expecting him to play his usual role today.

The Eagles will "ride the hot hand" at RB vs. the Bucs on Monday night, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. RB Kenneth Gainwell returns after missing Week 2, when RB D'Andre Swift went off for 175 rushing yards. We're expecting Swift to get the first crack at establishing that hot hand, but this remains a tough backfield to project.

Colts CB Kenny Moore (knee) is active for today's game against the Ravens. He sports some re-injury risk after managing just limited practices this week. But there's also upside to the matchup for indy's slot corner. CB Dallis Flowers (ankle) is also active.

Chargers Edge Joey Bosa (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Vikings. He played through the injury last week as well. Bosa saw his playing time significantly limited in that contest but still delivered 2 sacks. He belongs in most IDP lineups.

Saints CB Paulson Adebo (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Packers. That leaves New Orleans without two secondary starters, after S Marcus Maye was suspended three games earlier this week for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Fifth-round rookie Jordan Howden will start in Maye's place. Alontae Taylor looks like the No. 2 CB, with Isaac Yiadom filling the third spot against Green Bay.

The Lions will miss starting safety Kerby Joseph today because of a hip injury. Third-year S Ifeatu Melifonwu is expected to start in his place and has been added to our DB rankings as a Week 3 sleeper this morning. There should be plenty of tackle opportunities against the run-heavy Falcons for the safety likely to see the most time "in the box."

Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips is active for today's game against the Broncos. He missed Week 2 after hurting his back in Friday practice. But Phillips should return to IDP lineups today.
