Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chargers Edge Joey Bosa (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Titans. He barely practiced during the week, though, taking part only in individual side drills on Friday. That makes Bosa a high-risk play for Week 2 IDP lineups.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Chargers. He didn’t practice all week, so Hopkins obviously carries elevated risk in fantasy lineups. See where he sits in the Week 2 WR Rankings.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, so a Week 3 return looks possible. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will be Green Bay’s top two WRs today.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He was limited in practice all week and is expected to wear a compression sleeve on that injured knee today. So Kelce probably isn’t quite back to 100% – but he remains an elite fantasy play.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 3. A.J. Dillon steps in as Green Bay’s lead back today, with RB Patrick Taylor behind him. Green Bay will also be without LT David Bakhtiari today.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He tallied six carries and one target on a 22% snap rate in the opener. We're betting on less work than that for him today.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Colts. He dealt with right-shoulder soreness late in the week, adding risk to his Week 2 fantasy profile. Stroud is only a low-end option in superflex leagues.

Bears RB D'Onta Foreman will be a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Bucs, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. That'll turn a three-way committee into a two-way committee with RBs Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson. Pelissero confirms that Johnson is expected to see an increased workload today. The rookie would still be a shaky Week 2 fantasy start, but he's worth grabbing if available in your fantasy league.

The Falcons are expected to split carries between RBs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier again vs. the Packers today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "While Bijan Robinson may get the start, he is not going to be a bell cow," Rapoport adds. "This will be evenly divided." That's what we saw in Week 1, with Allgeier actually out-carrying Robinson 15 to 10. The rookie did see six targets, though, finishing with 83 total yards and a score. Robinson's efficiency and passing-game usage keep him in RB1 territory. Allgeier is a RB3 or flex option.

Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) is targeting a return for the NFL playoffs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rodgers underwent an "innovative" surgery on Wednesday "designed to accelerate the normal rehabilitation process," Rapoport writes. The procedure could reportedly have Rodgers back on the field in four months, which would be mid-January. The playoffs start on January 13. Rodgers is still not worth stashing in any redraft fantasy leagues. But, for dynasty owners, it's clear that he's hoping to continue his NFL career.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quad) is expected to play vs. the Bengals today. He was a full participant in Friday's practice and should be ready for a full workload today.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud (shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Colts today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Stroud was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday with a sore right shoulder. He's no better than a low-end QB2 in Week 2 fantasy lineups, but his availability is good news for Houston's offense.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets that Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) "has a chance" to return for Week 3. We've heard whispers that Ekeler might be dealing with a high-ankle sprain, so it's good to hear that Week 3 is a possibility. We'll track his progress this coming week. Joshua Kelley steps in as Los Angeles' lead back vs. the Titans today.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) is not expected to play vs. the Jets today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Reportedly dealing with a sprained MCL, Cooks did not practice all week. His absence will elevate Michael Gallup to the No. 2 WR role -- and likely Jalen Tolbert to No. 3. Neither guy is an exciting fantasy play against a stingy Jets secondary.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is not expected to play vs. the Falcons today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's not a surprise after Jones missed practice all week. His absence will leave A.J. Dillon as Green Bay's lead back -- and a volume-based RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is not expected to play vs. the Falcons today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Watson returned to a limited practice on Friday, seemingly setting him up for a Week 3 return. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will operate as Green Bay's top two WRs today.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Chargers today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Hopkins didn't practice all week, so it's safe to assume that he won't be at 100% today. That knocks him down to risk/reward WR3 status, although we haven't heard anything about him being on a snap count today.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) is "good to go" for today's game vs. the Jaguars. Kelce is expected to wear a compression sleeve on the knee he injured a little over two weeks ago, per Schefter. But Kelce "got his legs back" during the week off. He's back to his rightful place atop the TE Rankings.

Jets K Greg Zuerlein (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. Austin Seibert will kick in his place but is not a fantasy option.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Titans. He didn't practice all week and certainly isn't a lock to make it back for Week 3. Joshua Kelley will operate as the Bolts' lead back this weekend and is a solid RB2 play, despite the negative matchup.
