Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's seemingly on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, but we'll see how Kelce is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quad) remained limited in Thursday's practice. His status for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals is still uncertain. Check back tomorrow to see how Andrews is listed on the final injury report.

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's not going to be cleared in time for this weekend's game vs. the Bills. Meyers' absence figures to mean an even heavier reliance on WR Davante Adams in Buffalo.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. He's a long shot to play vs. the Falcons this weekend and should be on fantasy benches.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo showed Eagles LB Nicholas Morrow wearing the green helmet dot during warmups for tonight's game against the Vikings. That indicates he'll take over play-calling duties in the defensive huddle, vacated with Nakobe Dean's injury. That matters because it points to Morrow likely staying on the field most among LBs. We've knocked Christian Elliss -- who wore the dot last Sunday after Dean left -- out of the LB rankings and installed Morrow in LB4 range. Morrow was just elevated from the practice squad earlier this week, when Dean landed on IR.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready for lead-back duties in this weekend's game vs. the Patriots.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (foot) returned to a full practice on Thursday. He'll be ready to rock on Sunday vs. the Bills. Adams figures to be leaned on even more heavily than usual with WR Jakobi Meyers likely out with his concussion.

Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He told reporters afterward that he'll play vs. the Cardinals this weekend. It's safe to assume that Waller won't be at 100% for that one, but he remains a strong fantasy option at a shaky TE position.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks has a sprained MCL, according to insider Clarence Hill. If that's the case, Cooks seems unlikely to play vs. the Jets this weekend. HC Mike McCarthy said that Cooks will work with the rehab group during Thursday's practice. Fantasy owners should not be counting on him in Week 2 fantasy lineups. Cooks absence would boost Michael Gallup up the WR Rankings.

Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He's now looking unlikely to play vs. the Falcons this weekend, which would leave RB A.J. Dillon as Green Bay's likely workhorse. We just removed Jones and bumped Dillon way up the Week 2 RB Rankings.

Texans OC Bobby Slowik said he should have given RB Dameon Pierce more work in Week 1. The second-year man tallied only 11 carries in a blowout loss. “DP should touch the ball more than he did,” Slowik said. “That's definitely something we want to do. That's our starting identity. We're here to run the ball.” Houston should be able to stick with the run on Sunday as they head home to face Indianapolis. Pierce projects as a top-24 option in our Week 2 RB rankings.

Niners LB Dre Greenlaw missed practice Wednesday with a groin injury. We'll see how he fares the next two days, ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Rams.

Chargers Edge Joey Bosa missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury. We'll see about his status the rest of the week, ahead of Sunday's matchup with Tennessee.

Packers LB Quay Walker missed practice Wednesday and is in the concussion protocol. That makes him unlikely to play Sunday against the Falcons, though we'll keep an eye on the second-year LB's status.

Falcons HC Arthur Smith announced Wednesday that LB Troy Andersen has entered the concussion protocol. There was no issue reported during or directly following the game, but Smith said Andersen "didn't feel right" Tuesday. This likely means Andersen will miss Sunday's game against the Packers. We'll watch for more on his status. Tae Davis or Nate Landman could be the next guy up. Neither should be in your Week 2 lineup plans at this point.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. "Just vet rest and maintenance. He’s good to go," NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe tweeted. It sounds like Mostert will be ready for a full workload vs. the Patriots this weekend, but we'll keep an eye on his status over the next few days.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He was limited all three days last week before missing the season opener, so his status for Sunday's game vs. the Commanders remains uncertain. We'll update his progress again tomorrow.

Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. “I feel good," he told reporters. “If I’m out there, there’s no limitation." It sounds like Cooks should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Jets, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.

Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to make it through Week 1 unscathed, so our guess is that this was more of a rest day. Check back tomorrow for another update on Hopkins' status for Sunday's game vs. the Chargers.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler did not practice on Wednesday. He's listed on the injury report with the ankle and "NIR - Personal." Ekeler was away from the team to attend the funeral of his agent, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, so we don't know if that ankle would have allowed him to practice. We'll get another update on Ekeler's status tomorrow, but it's certainly possible that he misses Sunday's game vs. the Titans. That'd leave Joshua Kelley as the Chargers' lead back.
