Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WR Kadarius Toney (shoulder) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. It's a new injury for the rookie and has his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Bears in doubt. Toney shouldn't be in your Week 17 fantasy plans.

Lions WR Kalif Raymond has joined WR Josh Reynolds on the COVID list. If they're not able to get cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks, Detroit will be down to WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown, Khadarel Hodge, Trinity Benson and Tom Kennedy. St. Brown should continue to rack up targets, and RB D'Andre Swift should step back into a big role in the passing game.

Chargers WR Mike Williams has been activated from the COVID list, putting him on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. Williams has scored as a WR3 since a hot start to the season and carries some extra risk this week in his first game back from COVID.

Jets RB Tevin Coleman has been placed on the COVID list, making him unlikely to play vs. the Bucs on Sunday. Coleman has tallied 8 and 14 carries, respectively, the past 2 weeks alongside RB Michael Carter, so Coleman's absence would be a boost to Carter's Week 17 fantasy stock.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. He was officially limited on Wednesday but was limping around the practice field. Jackson is looking like a long shot to play vs. the Rams this weekend. We've removed him from the Week 17 Rankings and added QB Tyler Huntley.

Bills WR Emmanuel Sanders missed practice Thursday with a nagging knee issue. That's a downgrade after he put in limited work Wednesday. If Sanders isn't ready for Sunday's game -- or even if he's limited -- WR Gabriel Davis would become an attractive option. He most recently ranked 4th among PPR WRs in Week 15 with a 5-85-2 line against Carolina, Davis' 3rd straight game with at least 1 TD. He missed last week's game on the COVID list but came off Wednesday.

Giants WR Darius Slayton has been placed on the COVID list. He'll likely miss Sunday's game vs. the Bears -- but hopefully wasn't in your fantasy plans.

Ravens QB Tyler Huntley has been activated from the COVID list. He'll be available to start Sunday's game vs. the Rams if QB Lamar Jackson remains out with his ankle injury.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's off the COVID list but still seems unlikely to play vs. the Steelers on Monday night after his Week 14 high-ankle sprain.

Colts WR Zach Pascal came off the COVID list Thursday, returning him ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders.

The Colts have activated LB Darius Leonard and S Khari Willis off the COVID list, leaving them eligible to face the Raiders on Sunday.

The Packers on Wednesday activated CB Jaire Alexander. He had been on IR since suffering a Week 4 shoulder injury. It's not yet clear whether Alexander will be ready to play Sunday night against the Vikings. This week marked the deadline for either returning Alexander to the active roster or ending his season. At this point, we wouldn't bet on Alexander returning to a full-time role this week. Rasul Douglas has filled in well for a good-performing defense. We'll watch for clues as to the Week 17 plan, though.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that TE Pat Freiermuth has a chance to play Monday night against the Browns, according to the team website. Freiermuth missed last week's loss to the Chiefs with a concussion. We'll see about his practice participation beginning Thursday.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard missed practice Wednesday with the stinger that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Giants. HC Nick Sirianni said after practice, though, that Howard hopes to play Sunday against Washington. We'll see how he proceeds through the rest of the practice week.

Chargers HC Brandon Staley said Wednesday that he's "hopeful" S Derwin James can play Sunday against the Broncos, according to Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times. James did manage a limited practice Wednesday, something he didn't do until Friday last week. We'll watch for more on James' status heading into Sunday.

Bengals LB Logan Wilson put in a full practice Wednesday, his 1st action since he suffered a shoulder injury in the Week 13 loss to the Chargers. Cincinnati HC Zac Taylor called it "an encouraging big step" toward Wilson potentially playing Sunday against the Chiefs, according to the team website. Taylor had previously viewed Wilson as a longshot for the K.C. game. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.

The Panthers on Wednesday place EDGE Haason Reddick on the COVID list. The timing figures to knock him out for Sunday's game against the Saints. He joins DE Brian Burns and LB Shaq Thompson there, with backup DE Marquis Haynes also on the list. We'll see if any among the earlier 3 can make it back for the game.

The Saints have activated LB Demario Davis and S Malcolm Jenkins from the COVID list. They placed S Marcus Williams on the list Wednesday, however, which should knock him out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Vikings TE Tyler Conklin missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring issue. We don't have any other details on the injury or whether Conklin is in danger of missing Sunday night's game vs. the Packers. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's basically confirmation that he'll be back for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks.
