Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

ESPN Panthers reporter David Newton tweeted that Panthers HC Matt Rhule "sounded like it was no big deal" when he discussed RB Christian McCaffrey's thigh injury Wednesday. "We'll see where he is tomorrow," the coach added. There have been plenty of times that McCaffrey has missed Wednesday's practice only to be ready for full use by game time. If he were to miss any games, we're not sure either Chuba Hubbard or D'Onta Foreman would claim a large enough share of the work to be "the guy" for fantasy football lineups.

Dolphins S Brandon Jones (chest) and CB Xavien Howard (groin, glute) are questionable for Thursday night's game at Cincinnati. He did put in limited practices the past 2 days. We'll check his availability Thursday evening.

Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Jones returned to a limited practice last Friday and was reportedly a game-time decision for the Packers game before ending up inactive. It seems like he has a shot to play vs. the Chiefs on Sunday night -- although he wouldn't be a great fantasy play if WR Chris Godwin also returns for that one.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He's now 17 days removed from that hamstring injury and evidently has a chance to play vs. the Chiefs on Sunday night. We'll get another update on Godwin's status tomorrow.

Chiefs K Harrison Butker (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. Kansas City dumped K Matt Ammendola earlier this week and hasn't signed a replacement, so it seems like Butker has a good chance to return for Sunday night's game vs. the Bucs

Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman (heel) did not practice on Wednesday. His status for Sunday night's game vs. the Bucs is uncertain. Hardman's absence would free up snaps for WR Skyy Moore and/or WR Justin Watson.

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Players typically miss 1 game with concussions, but Renfrow still has a lot of hurdles to clear in order to return for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. Check back tomorrow for another update on his progress.

Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That gives the rookie a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Patriots, although he wouldn't be a viable fantasy play.

Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He got in just a limited practice on Friday last week before missing the Ravens game. We'll get another update on Meyers tomorrow.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) put in a limited practice on Wednesday -- his 1st since going down on September 8. We'll see what Moore does over the next couple of days and if he's able to play vs. the Panthers this weekend. His return would be bad news for waiver darling Greg Dortch.

Eagles RB Boston Scott (rib) missed Wednesday's practice. He's totaled 10 carries and 1 target through 3 games, so his absence would free up a few touches for RBs Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.

Giants WRs Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. New York is desperate for WR help after losing Sterling Shepard for the season. If Toney and Robinson can't play vs. the Bears this weekend, the Giants will be left with WRs Richie James, David Sills, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton.

Bears RB David Montgomery (ankle, knee) did not practice on Wednesday. The team continues to call him "day to day," but we're not expecting Montgomery to play vs. the Giants this weekend. That'd leave RB Khalil Herbert in a high-volume role.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor didn't practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a toe. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that Taylor had "some soreness" coming out of the Chiefs game but that his absence was precautionary. "He'll be ready to roll" vs. the Titans, a source told Pelissero. Taylor can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now, but we'll continue to keep an eye on his health.

Titans TE Austin Hooper (neck) did not practice on Wednesday. Hooper has been a non-factor in fantasy so far, but his absence could free up a few targets for Tennessee's WRs.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. Consider it good news after he went from limited practices last Wednesday and Thursday to no practice on Friday. We'll get another update on Allen's status tomorrow.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He seems unlikely to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. St. Brown's injury reportedly isn't a long-term deal, but he's not a lock to be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Lions K Austin Seibert (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll keep you updated on his status over the next few days. But you might want to line up a fallback option if you're hoping to use Seibert in a fantasy lineup this week.

Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any details on the injury. Check back tomorrow for another update on Hockenson's Week 4 status.
