Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (concussion) was listed as a full participant at practice on Tuesday. The rookie is trending toward being able to play in Saturday's game vs. the Texans at this rate. It will still be worth monitoring his participation today, however. Fellow rookie TE Chigoziem Okonkwo has stepped up in Burks' absence as a fantasy contributor, so there could be some ripple effects here. We'll keep an eye out.

The Texans have a slew of injuries in their WR room ahead of Saturday's game vs. the Titans. Nico Collins (foot) did not practice on Tuesday, and both Brandin Cooks (calf) and Chris Moore (foot) logged limited participation. Today's reports will shed some light on their collective situations. It is difficult to project the fantasy viability of the Texans at this time, so stay tuned. We'll keep you updated.

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (toe) is listed as a limited practice on Tuesday’s injury report. Today will be a good indicator of his potential availability for Saturday’s Week 16 showdown against the Raiders. We’ll keep an eye out on this front.

Browns WR Amari Cooper (hip) did not participate in Tuesday’s practice. Fortunately, Cooper’s absence was classified as a rest day. So nothing alarming there for now. Teammate David Bell (toe) was a limited practice participant, so today’s update will be helpful in determining his availability for Saturday’s game vs. the Saints. Stay tuned.

Saints WR Chris Olave (hamstring) was listed as a DNP on Tuesday's estimated injury report. With Week 16’s game falling on a Saturday, the turnaround time is shorter than usual. We’ll keep tabs on Olave as we learn more on Wednesday. Should the rookie be available, the matchup against the Browns' defense ranks as the 11th-toughest in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs this season. Olave is a flex option in fantasy lineups.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion on Tuesday. The third-year wideout has been hounded by this issue all season. Higgins is still considered a WR1 option despite the tough Week 16 draw vs. a Patriots defense that ranks as the 8th-toughest matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs. We’ll keep an eye on his status as the week unfolds ahead of Saturday’s game.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (ankle, knee) did not practice on Tuesday. Samuel has not played since getting hurt vs. the Buccaneers in Week 14. "I think this week, there would be a chance if we were that desperate," said HC Kyle Shanahan. "But I'm not even looking into it this week, and we'll see how he is next Monday and make that decision." This sounds like Samuel is likely a better bet to suit up in Week 17 vs. the Raiders. Don’t plan on having the WR available for your lineup.

Commanders RB Antonio Gibson (foot) was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday. The Commanders are set to take the field on Saturday against the 49ers in Week 16, so turnaround time is a bit shorter this week. Both Gibson and teammate Brian Robinson are staring down a brutal matchup against a 49ers defense that ranks as the 2nd-toughest for opposing RBs in 2022. Be cautious of both backs in lineups. Stay tuned for updated information.

Steelers RB Najee Harris (hip) practiced in a limited fashion on Tuesday. Saturday’s game vs. the Raiders is just around the corner, so check back once we learn more information regarding Harris’ availability. The Raiders present the 3rd-best matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs. If Harris does play, he warrants RB2 consideration in fantasy playoff lineups. With how good of a matchup this is, and with the weather in Pittsburgh potentially being rough, teammate Jaylen Warren may see work suitable for a possible flex consideration as well.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (thigh) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Tuesday. Teammate Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) was tagged with the same designation regarding an injury of his own. Should either Patriots back miss Week 16 vs. the Bengals on Saturday, rookies Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong Jr. would be in line to pick up the backfield responsibility. The Bengals rank as the 10th-toughest matchup in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs, however, so the game will be tough sledding for whoever suits up this week.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) was listed as having a rest day on Tuesday's practice report. There are currently no signs pointing to Dobbins missing Saturday’s game vs. the Falcons, but we’ll keep an eye on this in case something changes. It sounds like the team is merely being precautionary with a player who has only appeared in 6 games this season due to these same knee issues.

Browns RB Nick Chubb (foot) did not practice on Tuesday. The Browns' next game vs. the Saints is on Saturday. As such, Chubb’s absence from practice could merely be cautionary. We’ll still keep an eye on this as their Week 16 matchup gets closer. If Chubb were unable to suit up, Kareem Hunt would likely elevate on the depth chart and shoulder a good amount of responsibility against a Saints defense that ranks 13th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs. Stay tuned.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Tuesday. The former MVP is still dealing with an injury that has kept him out since Week 13. Wednesday’s report will be telling as to whether or not we will see Jackson in action vs. the Falcons on Saturday. Jackson would be considered a top 10 option at the position for fantasy if he does play. Check back as we learn more information.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (ankle) did not practice on Tuesday. HC Pete Carroll said that Walker was “a little sore coming out” of Thursday night's loss to the 49ers. “We will see how this week goes,” Carroll added. “We have to give him every day to get back." We'll get another update on Walker tomorrow. RB DeeJay Dallas (ankle) was also sidelined on Tuesday.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Tuesday that there's a chance WR Tyler Lockett (finger) makes it back for Week 17. He underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured finger on Monday. We'll keep an eye on Lockett's status, but he's worth keeping stashed on fantasy benches in most cases.

Ravens WR Devin Duvernay has been placed on IR with a foot injury he suffered in Tuesday's practice. It's unclear if he has a shot to return when first eligible for the Divisional Round of the playoffs, but his regular season is over. Baltimore added WR Sammy Watkins in a corresponding move. Watkins spent last season with the Ravens but mustered just a 27-394-1 line across 13 games. He looked equally washed with the Packers this season. Watkins joins Demarcus Robinson, DeSean Jackson and James Proche in the WR corps.

Rams WR Ben Skowronek will miss the rest of the season with a calf injury, HC Sean McVay said Tuesday. Skowronek joins WRs Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson on the sideline, leaving the Rams with WRs Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Brandon Powell, Austin Trammell and Lance McCutcheon.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that RB A.J. Dillon has cleared concussion protocol. He missed the 4th quarter of Monday night's win over the Rams to be checked for a head injury. Prior to exiting, Dillon had tallied 11 carries and 3 targets to Aaron Jones’ 11 carries and 5 targets. Look for a similar split against the Dolphins on Sunday.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni isn't ready to rule out QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) for Saturday's game vs. the Cowboys. "There’s a chance he could play this week," Sirianni said. "He’s one of the toughest guys I know. His body is not like yours or mine. He heals fast. I will not rule him out. I will not put a timetable on him. We’ll see what happens." We're still not expecting Hurts to play this weekend. And neither are the oddsmakers, considering the Eagles are 5.5-point underdogs as of Tuesday afternoon. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the situation, but Hurts owners should be lining up an alternative for Week 16.

Steelers QB Kenny Pickett (concussion) will start this weekend's game vs. the Raiders, HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday. It sounds like Pickett still has 1 more step to pass protocol, so we'll keep an eye on his practice participation this week. Vegas ranks 30th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs, but Pickett hasn't shown enough this season to be more than a mid-range QB2 for Week 16.
