Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals WR A.J. Green remains on the COVID list as of Friday night and is not expected to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. WR DeAndre Hopkins is a game-time decision with his hamstring injury, leaving Christian Kirk, Rondale Moore, Antoine Wesley and Andy Isabella as Arizona's healthy WRs.

Cowboys WRs CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Amari Cooper (hamstring) are listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. Lamb hurt his ankle in Wednesday’s practice, was sidelined on Thursday and returned to a limited practice on Friday. Cooper put in 3 limited practices this week. Both guys are expected to play on Sunday. We’ll let you know if that changes.

Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. We haven't heard any concern about his status, but you'll need to make sure he's active on Sunday if you're planning on using him in Week 9 fantasy lineups.

Rams WR Robert Woods (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 9. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but HC Sean McVay said that Woods will play against Tennessee on Sunday night. You can keep him penciled into fantasy lineups unless we hear otherwise.

Rams RB Matt Stafford (back) is not listed on the final Week 9 injury report. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but HC Sean McVay said all week that Stafford would be fine for Sunday night’s game vs. the Titans. He’s safe to use in fantasy lineups.

49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Cardinals. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We’ll look for an update on Mitchell’s status on Sunday morning. 49ers-Cardinals doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET. HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that RB Jeff Wilson (knee) has a chance to make his 2021 debut this weekend.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Samuel played through the calf injury last week, but HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that it’s worse now. Samuel is expected to play on Sunday, but he’ll carry elevated risk in fantasy lineups.

49ers insider Matt Maiocco confirms that TE George Kittle (calf) will be activated on Saturday and is on track to play vs. the Cardinals on Sunday. Kittle carries some added risk in his 1st action since Week 4. And Arizona ranks 2nd in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs. But Kittle is still a rock-solid TE1 with plenty of upside.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (calf) is not listed on the final Week 9 injury report. He put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. ESPN's Ed Werder reported Thursday that the Cowboys have an "unlimited" game plan for Prescott vs. Denver this weekend. He’s safe to get back into fantasy lineups.

Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin (hip) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. He’s averaged 2.1 targets per game on the season and just 1 per game over the last 3, so this is just a slight boost for TE Dalton Schultz.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (left finger) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. HC Brian Flores said Friday that he’s “optimistic” Tua will play. But any injury to a finger on a QB’s throwing hand is a concern.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert (hand) is not listed on the final injury report. He was limited on Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. It doesn’t seem like we should be worried about the hand issue.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice all week but isn’t listed on the final injury report. He confirmed on Friday that he’ll play vs. the Rams on Sunday night. Jones hasn’t topped a 66% snap share since Week 2. He’ll remain a risky fantasy option until we see him make it through a game healthy.

Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) was added to the injury report and did not practice on Friday. He's listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Rams. We'll look for further updates on his status. The late kickoff could make this a tricky situation for fantasy owners.

Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. When healthy, DPJ figures to join Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins atop the Odell Beckham-less depth chart.

Steelers TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Friday. That gives him a shot to play vs. the Bears on Monday night. We'll get another update on Ebron tomorrow. He's not a fantasy option, but his return would put a dent in TE Pat Freiermuth's projection.

Steelers K Chris Boswell (concussion) put in a full practice on Friday. We'll get Pittsburgh's final injury report tomorrow, but it looks like Boswell will be available for Monday night's game vs. the Bears.

The Dolphins placed WR DeVante Parker on IR after he suffered a setback with his hamstring injury in practice this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. So he'll miss at least the next 3 games vs. the Texans, Ravens and Jets. We'll see if Parker is ready come Week 12, but he's certainly not a must-stash on fantasy rosters. WR Jaylen Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki both get target boosts with Parker out.

The Falcons placed WR Calvin Ridley on the non-football injury list. That requires him to miss at least the next 3 weeks, making Week 12 his earliest potential return. We'd still try to keep Ridley stashed on fantasy benches for now.

Broncos TE Noah Fant remains on the COVID list as of Friday afternoon. HC Vic Fangio confirmed that he doesn't expect Fant to be available for this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys. That'll leave Albert Okwuegbunam as Denver's lead TE -- and a viable Week 9 fantasy spot starter.
