Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He didn't practice all week and was listed as doubtful, so he wasn’t particularly close to playing. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 6. St. Brown’s absence leaves 26.7% of Detroit’s targets up for grabs. Josh Reynolds is the best bet to lead Lions WRs in targets today, with Kalif Raymond, Jameson Williams, and Marvin Jones behind him. TE Sam LaPorta should also benefit from St. Brown’s absence. But we’re expecting a run-heavy attack from the Lions today against a leaky Panthers run defense.
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. We’ll see if the rookie can make it back for Week 6 after hurting his hamstring in practice on Friday. Gibbs’ absence today should mean an even bigger workload for RB David Montgomery. RBs Craig Reynolds and Zonovan Knight are active to spell Montgomery.
Saints WR Chris Olave appeared to be dealing with a right ankle issue during warmups ahead of today's game vs. the Patriots. Here's a video from insider Nick Underhill, and another from insider Juan Kincaid. We'll see if Olave is active in a few minutes, but there appears to be elevated risk to using him in Week 5 fantasy lineups. We'll let you know if we learn more.
Patriots QB Bailey Zappe got more reps in practice this week, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. QB Mac Jones has struggled the past two weeks, completing 54% of his passes with one TD and two INTs. "Other teams who watch the tape from the Cowboys game say Mac's eyes are down. He is looking at the rush. It's impossible to play on-time, efficient football like that," Pelissero says. "No change [at QB] is considered likely or imminent at this point," Pelissero adds. But it sure sounds like Jones' leash is shortening.
Steelers QB Kenny Pickett "won’t have his full mobility" as he plays through a bone bruise to his knee vs. the Ravens today, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. If you needed a reason to avoid Pickett in Week 5 fantasy lineups, there it is.
Bills LB Matt Milano left with a knee injury in the first half against the Jaguars. The team quickly ruled him out for the game. That doesn't bode well for Milano's outlook, and it's not shocking given how much help Milano needed getting off the field. We'll watch for more on his return timeline.

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is active for this morning's game vs. the Bills. Jones was working ahead of WR Christian Kirk before missing the past two games. But he remained limited in practice all week and was listed as questionable, so it's unclear how close to 100% Jones is today.
The Broncos want to work out RB Javonte Williams (quad) before today's game before deciding whether he'll play vs. the Jets. It's a slight surprise after Williams was a full participant in Friday's practice. We'll look for further updates on Williams but won't get Denver's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET. You need to have a late-game replacement lined up if you're hoping to start Williams.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweets that there will be "no expected limitations" for Rams WR Cooper Kupp vs. the Eagles today. It's confirmation that Kupp will be a full-go after HC Sean McVay said Friday that he's not planning to limit Kupp's snaps in his 2023 debut. See where Kupp sits in the Week 5 WR Rankings.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirms a previous report that Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will not get a full workload in his 2023 debut vs. the Titans today. "Expect a split between him and Zack Moss today as they ease Taylor back into action in his first game back," Garafolo tweets. We don't expect it to be a 50/50 split between the two. But it's clear that Taylor won't play his usual workhorse role today. See how we project the Colts' Week 5 backfield.
Lions WR Jameson Williams is expected to play a "limited role" in his 2023 debut vs. the Panthers today, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "Maybe around 20 snaps," Pelissero adds. 20 snaps would be about one-third of the game. We'd expect most of Williams' snaps to come in passing situations, so he could still rack up some production today. But he'd be a desperation fantasy start in season-long leagues. Maybe you take a shot on him in a DFS tournament lineup.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) will play vs. the Patriots today. Carr remained limited in practice all week after an ugly showing in last week's loss to the Bucs. Carr is "in a better place health-wise than last week," per Rapoport. But we'd want to see him turn in a solid outing before trusting him in any fantasy lineups.
Ravens WR Odell Beckham is expected to play vs. the Steelers today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Beckham has missed the past two weeks with what Rapoport calls tendonitis in his foot. Beckham was working as one of Baltimore's top-two WRs before going down but totaled just five catches for 66 scoreless yards in two games.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) is not expected to play vs. the Dolphins today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Barkley remained limited in practice all week and didn't sound optimistic about his status when speaking to the media. Rapoport adds that Barkley is "closer" to a return. We'll see if he can make it back for Week 6. His absence today again leaves New York's backfield to Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Bears RB Khalil Herbert is expected to miss "multiple weeks" after injuring his right ankle in Thursday night's win over Washington. That could give rookie Roschon Johnson a shot to lead the backfield. Though Johnson came away from the Washington game with a concussion that puts his Week 6 in doubt. RB Travis Homer is also dealing with a hamstring injury. So we might be looking at D'Onta Foreman as Chicago's top back for next Sunday's home date with Minnesota. We'll keep watching the situation throughout the coming week. But Foreman at least makes sense as a waiver wire option in Week 6.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh) is expected to play vs. the Saints on Sunday, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports. Stevenson is listed as questionable but got in three limited practices this week. It doesn't seem like the thigh will be a significant issue tomorrow, but it adds a bit of risk to a guy who's already been disappointing through four games.
Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (ankle) is out for Monday night's game against the Raiders. That will leave Isaiah McDuffie to start in his place. McDuffie carries limited upside for IDP leagues. Green Bay also could be missing as many as three secondary starters. CB Jaire Alexander (back) and S Rudy Ford (oblique) are questionable after limited practice participation this week. CB Eric Stokes' questionable tag is more of a positive. He has yet to play this season, coming off mensicus and Lisfranc injuries in November that each required surgeries. If he plays, it'll likely be in a limited role. We'll check on all three DBs Monday. None is worth waiting for in your IDP lineup.
The Raiders have ruled CB Nate Hobbs (ankle) out for the second straight game. CB Jakorian Bennett (hamstring, shoulder) is questionable. The Monday night kickoff vs. the Packers makes Bennett not worth waiting on for IDP lineups in most cases.
Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Packers. He got in just a limited practice on Saturday. Adams played through this injury last week, so we're expecting him to play on Monday. But we'll look for further updates on his status.
