Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 69 yards in Sunday's blowout loss to Arizona. He out-carried Antonio Gibson 13-7.

Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said after Sunday night's loss to the Packers that QB Geno Smith's right knee is "structurally" ok. "(It was) severe enough for him not to come back in the game," Macdonald added. "We'll do all the tests tomorrow and kind of figure it out as we go. ... I know we'll do everything humanely possible to go play, but just don't know right now." We should get another update by the end of today, but it sounds more likely than not that Smith misses time. That'd leave Sam Howell under center. He struggled badly in relief of Smith against Green Bay, completing just 5 of 14 passes for 24 yards and an INT. Howell was a mixed bag as Washington's starter last year, throwing for 3,946 yards and 21 TDs but also tossing 21 INTs and taking 65 sacks. He's a clear downgrade from Smith -- but better than most backups in the league.

Lions WR Tim Patrick followed his 2-TD Week 14 with another TD among 4 receptions for 30 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills. His 8 targets marked a second straight week of setting a season high in that category, and Patrick has caught 4+ passes in three of his past four games.

Lions TE Sam LaPorta posted a 7-111 receiving line on 10 targets in Sunday's loss to the Bills. Those numbers easily marked season highs in all three categories and clearly got a boost from Detroit throwing a season-high 59 passes.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown racked up 14 catches for 193 yards and a TD on 18 targets as Detroit threw for 494 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills. Those numbers accounted for a 30.5% share of Jared Goff's total pass attempts, 36.8% of completions, and 39% of the team's receiving yards.

Lions QB Jared Goff set season highs Sunday in pass attempts (59), completions (38), passing yards (494), and TDs (5) in the loss to the Bills. He found five different teammates for TDs, as Detroit dropped back more than four times as much as it ran the ball.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid returned from a three-game knee injury for Sunday's win over the Lions. He drew 7 targets to tie WR Khalil Shakir for the team lead. Kincaid caught four of them for 53 yards. But he also trailed Dawson Knox in playing time.

Bills RB James Cook ran for 104 yards and 2 TDs on 14 carries in Sunday's win over the Lions. What he didn't do, though, was see much receiving work. Cook also played just 41.4% of offensive snaps overall, his second-smallest share of the season.

Titans TE Chig Okonkwo led the team in targets (10) and receptions (8) in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. His 59 receiving yards ranked second on the team, behind RB Tyjae Spears. He drew just

Titans RB Tony Pollard ran for just 45 yards on 17 carries in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. He scored a TD but also drew 0 targets for the first time all season. Blame a lack of opportunities. Pollard ran a mere 7 pass routes compared to 27 for Tyjae Spears, according to Pro Football Focus. That followed Spears edging Pollard 16-12 in Week 14 routes.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears tallied a team-high 87 receiving yards and a TD on 6 receptions in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. He added 5 rushing yards on 4 carries.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith injured his right knee in the third quarter of Sunday night's game vs. the Packers. He headed back to the locker room with trainers and is officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more. Smith has been replaced by QB Sam Howell.

Packers LB Quay Walker left with an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday night's game against the Seahawks and was later ruled out. We'll see about his outlook for Week 16 and beyond. Walker's absence would leave room for Isaiah McDuffie and/or Eric Wilson to see more snaps.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins caught five balls for 88 yards and a TD in Sunday's win over the Titans. His 38-yard TD catch in the second quarter delivered a large chunk of the fantasy production.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) was non-committal about his Week 16 status when asked after Sunday's win over the Browns. "It's hard to say right now,'' Mahomes said. "You still [have] adrenaline rolling and usually it's kind of the day after when you kind of get a good sense of it. I feel like I could have finished the game in different circumstances, but I thought the smart decision ... was to put Carson Wentz in. ... You just do what you have to do to get back, and I think that's the most important thing. And now we just get back to the rehab part, the treatment part, and try to get ourselves ready on a short week against a good football team." Mahomes has just six days to get ready for Saturday's 1 pm ET kickoff against the Texans. We're sure to get many updates on his status between now and then. But fantasy owners will want to have an alternative lined up for Week 16.

Bengals RB Chase Brown delivered a pair of TDs on a season-high 28 touches in Sunday's win over the Titans. Brown posted a 25-97-1 rushing line, scoring from 5 yards out with 1:09 left in the game. He added a 6-yard TD receptions among 3 catches for 16 yards on 3 targets. No. 2 RB Khalil Herbert garnered just 1 carry and no targets.

Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. managed just 65 rushing yards in Sunday's win over the Saints, who arrived as one of the league's worst run defenses. Robinson did so on 21 carries (3.1 per rush), controlling 87.5% of the team's RB carries for the game. Robinson added 3 receptions for 22 yards on 3 targets.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts revealed after Sunday's win over the Steelers that he played through a broken finger on his left, non-throwing hand. "It did impact my play," Hurts said. “It didn’t get worse today. If it’s shattered, it’s shattered." Hurts lost a fumble vs. Pittsburgh but was otherwise excellent, completing 25 of 32 passes (78%) for 290 yards (9.1 YPA), two TDs, and 0 INTs and running 15 times for 45 yards and a score. We'll keep an eye on Hurts going forward, but he'll remain a must-start for Week 16's meeting with the Commanders.

Cardinals RB James Conner tallied 16 carries for 110 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over New England. He caught all five targets for 28 yards.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown injured his left ankle late in the Week 15 win over the Steelers. He was in good spirits after the game and allowed to speak to the media, which typically means a player isn’t seriously injured. We should get an update on Brown’s status tomorrow.
